My wife and I love the place and the staff is great. We have been planning on a once every month stay while we are working in separate places. However, that last time we were there the construction was horrible. We knew it would be on Friday but it flat out said not on Saturday. So we were kept up all morning with sawing. We are looking around now till at least he construction is over

I love this place normally. I have been having to travel for work and once a month me and my wife meet there for a getaway together. 1st 2 times were great but this last was terrible. Since my wife and I only see each other for a weekend once a month due to work travel. The construction going on all day Saturday which seemed to be directly above our heads was so horrible and started so early. We knew about the weekday construction and the memo in the room confirmed it. But it was NOT for Saturday. only Monday thru Friday. Anyway, it was not great. So now we looking around and maybe try another place in the same area because the location is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay here. Staff were over the top friendly and helpful. Rooms are getting a bit tired and furniture soiled, but they are doing a complete renovation. Beautiful Christmas decor. The location is great!

This was an amazing hotel and experience. The staff has incredible hospitality toward their guests in every department. They go out of their way to help without you having to ask. Top notch! I love in Tokyo where we have the BeST service and I can compare The Charleston Place with that level of service. Truly made our experience enjoyable and made to feel like home. Thank you! Everything was great except no hair dryer & the wand was missing on one half of drapes & pulled away from wall causing a “crack of light” at top & down a ways-something regular housekeeping would not have noticed. I reported at desk when checking out & was thanked sincerely for letting them know. Sink was sluggish & forgot to mention. Hot water & volume in shower superior. In general, very good accommodations in every way!

Rooms are dark and could use some updating. I was awoken very early my first morning by the alarm clock in the room next to mine. I had to call the front desk to get it turned off. Not sure if housekeeping should be clearing alarms when they turnover the room. Long travel day and early wake up call made my first day a little exhausting. Hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Couldn’t find a vending machine with drinks anywhere which would have been appreciated.

Have stayed many times over the years. This was the first time that we could hear people talking constantly in the room next to us. It was annoying. Also, we were on the 2nd floor level and there was no ice machine, we had to go to the 4th floor, and it didn't have ice.

Loved every second of our stay. Our Thanksgiving buffet was sublime. We stayed on the Club floor and it was worth the price. The Christmas decorations were some of the most beautiful I have seen. Staff was excellent. Can’t wait to return.
