Great stay in the downtown area. Harry’s was great, and the cookies and milk for guests is a nice touch. Even had our room upgraded to deluxe king for free. It was our first time in Denver, and I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the city.

This property is located downtown, close to transit. Not many dining opportunities within the block. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

We stayed at the Magnolia several times over the years and have always enjoyed our stay. This time it seems the hotel has to have been worn down. Our first day we notice a petroleum smell on the elevator and when we got to the 7th floor the whole floor had a sense of smell that seemed like burnt plastic. Our room had a particularly strong smell coming from vent. I stopped at the front desk and mentioned this to the staff and was told the would have maintenance check it out. We never heard another word. We ran into a hotel staffer in the hall way and mentioned smell and got a shrug from maid. We were disappointed to be ignored and will consider another hotel on our next visit to denver.

I specifically reserved a room with a tub and a view of the mountains. I received the exact opposite. The room was absolutely basic. A hotel of this rating should be offering more for the price. Their "breakfast" was a joke.

Staff was rude and unhelpful; charged us a full 24 hours for the valet when we had been traveling all day due to airline issues and arrived at the hotel 6 minutes before midnight. When we asked about parking elsewhere ($59 a night for valet) we were given no help. We had 4 nights booked and the only time our car was ready for us to leave through valet was the first day. When I asked if we could be given a nice room with an exterior view the desk clerk said he couldn’t tell us what the view was only that it had 2 beds. Our room was an interior room with a window that faced another guest window. The room had no fridge or microwave. Ice was only on 1 floor and the vending machine never had water in it. Upon arrival the entire lobby smelled like sewage. The rooms were small and the big gigantic round outdated tub was extremely difficult to step in and out of if you are short and had no water pressure. Our body wash container was empty and we had to use shampoo to bathe the first night. Valet was very rude when entering with the vehicle to be parked and yelled at you to hurry while exiting the vehicle and collecting belongings. Homeless people were everywhere and were walking through the valet waiting area. It felt very unsafe at night. We did have an issue with the a/c that was fixed promptly and housekeeping did a good job with bringing us towels and body wash when asked. Would not recommend. The staff were not pleasant and seemed bothered every time you asked for anything.
