Nice but quality was lacking
I felt very safe during my stay and the location was adequate and it was fairly quiet. However, my room was a bit below standard. A bit of mold in the ceiling shower and the quality of the furniture seemed shabby. It was okay for the price, though. For a work trip it was fine, but for personal travel I would have been disappointed. There was always a guard on duty by the elevator on the first floor. They were always friendly, which was nice.

Parking was somewhat of an issue. The guy in lot next door to apartment charged us $50 to park from about 8pm to 10am. Plus we had to pick our daughter up from the airport, so my husband went back to talk to parking guy about getting out of fenced locked area at 10:30. I suppose the added cost of parking in a downtown city should be expected. But it would have been difficult to drop off bags and then park somewhere else. The apartment would be best for someone flying into DTW, then ubering or taxiing around or walking once there.

I would love to stay at this place again and give it another chance. What I did not like was that the hallways were filthy the elevators were filthy. The walls were filthy. The floors were filthy. It just seems that the cleanliness is not a priority. However, the location was great. I love the amenities in the unit.

The location was great because you can walk to nearby sightseeing areas and restaurants. I felt safe coming and going by myself and I also used ride shares when traveling farther away. Security was always present, very cordial and helpful. The room looked like the picture however it smelled like someone had a dog there previously. The floors were not very clean and just overall the apartment wasn’t clean as it should have been from the bathroom to the living room. The kitchen table was warped from water damage. Somehow flies were getting into the apt and I couldn’t understand why since no windows were open. If the apartment had been thoroughly cleaned I would rate this place a 10/10.

Great property. Central to dinning options and view of the Wayne County Building amazing to see the sculptures and great architecture designs. Would be 5 but as a previous medical staff hand soap is crucial and the body wash/shampoo/conditioner pumps were all broken. However, the security downstairs was nice enough to get me some hand soap and body wash. Every one nice in the building and the mobile door lock feature a plus. 7 Eleven right downstairs that was a plus and very friendly police officers always outside patrol. My stay was great already recommended to two coworkers to check for Sonders apartment in New York where they will be stay in a few weeks

The unit was great. Big, clean, well-equipped. The immediate area might not work for some. There is a 7-11 next door that attracts some panhandlers. Lively nightlife brings a strong police presence including metal detectors right outside the entrance to the building. We didn’t see any problems, everyone seemed chill and having a good time. Lots of restaurants and bars. Easy, cheap parking. Access to public transportation.
