The hotel room and lobby was spot on. The interior - halls, floors and elevator need a face lift. The courtyard has so much potential but it appears it's being neglected. I stayed in similar lodgings with a courtyard in Killarney, Ireland and the courtyard was a focal point for guests and visitors and a revenue stream for the hotel.

The Murray has lost it's "shine" ! Having enjoyed a previous stay, this trip was the opposite. The room allocated (2nd floor) was ok however two hours atfer arrival we discovered a mouse running across the carpet and under the bed. I alerted the front desk and there was no concern expressed until a senior member was called. An alternative room, in another wing, was provided. This room's AC was" controlled" at a central (hotel controlled) temperature and was extremely cold. Worse... we saw another mouse in the public, coffee / snack area near reception (again reported and met with a laugh from the staff) plus a third mouse discovered on the third floor! At no time was there any recognition, apology or concern expressed by the hotel's staff. Extremely poor customer service and a hotel to avoid in it's current condition.

Liked: Hotel backs onto the Main Street with all the restaurants and bars. Rooms are roomy. Staff is nice. Did Not Liked: Rooms smell musty. Rooms are not well insulated for noise. I could hear people talking in the rooms left and right of our room. I could also hear the people walking in the room above us.

It’s an older but classic hotel. In the heart of downtown harbour and very close to all those restaurants and bars. Our room was very quiet after hours and we would definitely stay again.

Staff was very accommodating. Lots of security. Close to everything shops, restaurants, pubs etc. Main street was closed for "pedestrian mall" so no traffic noise. Street musicians were good too.

It's different than a chain. Warm and cozy feeling. Look fits the theme while being modern enough. Only concern is the 4th floor on the main building has no elevator access. You go to the 3rd floor then walk up. That's fine for me, maybe not for others. Can't ask for a better spot I the city though.

Great Hotel, Warm and Cozy Feel to the rooms with everything needed provided. Bathroom was spacious and very useable. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Breakfast offered could have a greater selection but was adequate. Stayed on the fourth floor of the main building which requires you to walk up the last flight of stairs. Elevator will only take you as far as the third.

This Place surprised us! Parking was easy and gated. The Check in was quick. There is soft old timey music playing in the hallways which give a nice feel when you walk into. The room was a total surprise, from the new shower, the jacuzzi and the large bed. We wanted to stay more then the one place we booked. The area is a short walk to everything needed. Dining/shopping/harbor views. Loved our stay, Will book it next time too.

Elevator needs some work. Makes quite a clunk when it starts. Rode up to our floor with a staff member who said she does' nt like the sound when it starts. We used the stairs most times. Only used the elevator when checking in with our luggage.
