Great stay but not 4 star. This hotel is perfect for someone staying in Istanbul for the first time as you are a few minutes walk away from the two main Mosques, the grand bazaar and other attractions. You are also close to the metro line to explore other areas of the city.
The staff are fantastic and very helpful. However, the hotel itself is not 4 stars in my opinion. The rooms are very outdated, the bed was very uncomfortable, the breakfast options aren’t what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The bathroom also had a bad smell at times. The walls are quite thin so you hear everything from the halls and other rooms.
The terrace is nice and gives you views across the city, would be better if breakfast was served there rather than carrying it upstairs in the lift to enjoy the views.
Overall, overpriced but good if you just want to be close to the main attractions. I would recommend staying a little further away as the metro is great and saving some money. Sultanhamet is very expensive.
