Great location, short tram ride from Spencer Street station, walking distance to the traditional home of the Fitzroy Lions AFL Team, short walk to the MCG, awesome cafes on Gertrude Street and Smith Street The maintenance staff are doing a great job updating the property, front desk staff v helpful 8/10

Second time visiting, but there won’t be a third
Second time at this hotel due to its great location, but has definitely changed management since I visited in 2022. The hotel needs a renovation, the room was not clean and there was mould in the bathroom. Overall check in experience was poor, they were requesting full payment two days before arrival even though the booking was made as “pay at the hotel” and if I refused to pay they said my booking could be cancelled. Don’t think I will be back.

Resonable price for very good accommodation, very close to the Royal Eye Hospital, 350 metres to the left of the entrance and Aunty Mae's Vietnamese restaurant to the right around the corner in Gertrude St, 150 metres so it was all good for me, will stay again next year too. recommended

Our room smelt so strongly of cleaning products that we had to get another room. The staff were very helpful and gave us an upgrade. Unfortunately there was still a smell of cleaning products in the new room, albeit fainter.
