We just got off a cruise and needed a place to rest for a couple of days before we flew home. Wayne was outstanding at the check in desk. His customer service was amazing. I also liked that they had a laundry room to wash clothes before we left. Less to do when we got home. Clean and safe. Rooms were pretty big as well

Hot Tub Closed - they should say that
We used to stay here often on our vacations to Fort Lauderdale. For some reason we stopped. Now we remember. We booked the hotel for this leg of our vacation thinking this place gave good service, was clean, location is okay, all positives. Plus free breakfast, pool and a hot tub. Well, the pool and hot tub are closed at sunset. That’s 6:45 PM this time of the year. So no pool or hot tub unless we finish dinner (somewhere off property) early and rush back to the hotel. That’s why we stopped booking this hotel. The front desk employee was disrespectful to my wife repeating “sun up, sun down” and waving her hands to demonstrate. We’ve always gotten good service here in the past. Had we known about the pool hours, we would have booked a different hotel. If you don’t mind the pool/tub open hours, it’s otherwise a good place to stay.

The first room that we were given was loaded with black mold. The hallways reeked of marijuana and the condition of the rooms looked as if the Good Will furnished them. The bathrooms were falling apart and the entire facility was in disrepair. The fact that they would feel comfortable giving a room covered in Black mold to someone paying 186 dollars a day is insane. Additionally, they kept telling me that everything is more difficult because I used a 3rd party to book the room. Per your website, if accessibility was needed during the stay, you state that I should call the hotel and request it. Well, I did just that and was informed that because I booked through a 3rd party I would need to pay more money for an accessibility room for my 90-year-old grandparents. After doing some research I found out that it is against the law to charge more for a handicapped room accessible and this tactic from the Hotel is apprehensible. I would strongly recommend you do a thorough review of this hotel and would highly suggest that you cease your relationship with this location.

The doorframe for the room door was badly damaged. It had been forced open at some point in the past and never properly repaired. Also, it was impossible to see out of the windows in the rooms because a coating on the glass had aged and changed in color, making the windows opaque.

Very Good Second Tier Hotel
Clean and comfortable. A little dated with no good options for charging electronics and no room safe. This one is better than most LaQuintas. Short drive for restaurants and groceries. 20 minutes from the beach. The rooms were quiet even with large numbers of pet refugees from a hurricane on the west coast of Florida.
