Book a hotel near Fritton Lake Country Park, England

"The lodge is really great - much better than any static caravan we have stayed in before. Lots of space, very well equipped, tastefully furnished and everything put together well. The washing machine was very handy to have, and having two complete bathrooms is great. Lots of little extras such as parasol and reclining chairs. It was lovely to relax on the deck in the sunshine, and the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful.The park is very good, with lots of activities. The indoor pool is good but would have been even better if it had a slide. People who book caravans via the park can pre-book activites before they arrive, but if you book with the owner (such as via VRBO), you can only book activities once you have arrived on site. You have to buy an entertainment pass at the park reception, in order to use any of the facilities such as pool or entertainment venue. This was not a big problem but it's important to understand that. By the time we arrived, all the bookable slots in the pool had been taken. Despite this, we were able to go swimming every day, by choosing one of the afternoon sessions and just turning up. On very busy weeks this might require getting in the queue 15 minutes ahead, or more.The entertainment and bar complex were good on the one night we went there. Our 9 year old granddaughter enjoyed the party dances organised by the entertainment staff. We also enjoyed the mini-golf on site.The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with."

"Stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I would definitely return to the hotel. The room was excellent with everything I needed. The bed was really comfy and the pillows were so lovely. Lovely cooked breakfast and great alternative selection. "

"Nice 3 bedroom apartment. Lovely to have a bath in each ensuite. Kitchen isn't particularly well stocked (we had to keep washing up) but I've come to expect this from holiday rents now. The doors are all on closing mechanisms that crash the heavy doors shut with her loud bangs. This would be a problem if you had children as I'd worry they might crush fingers. Little bit noisy during the day when the cafe is open downstairs. Won't be a problem if you're out all day. The restaurant in Barn 1 is worth a visit and very close. Lots of hot water and the heating is very good. There is an oven despite the photos showing just a hob."
