"When we booked, I was unaware that I booked a villa. Boy oh boy was it huge. Everyone had tons of space. There was multiple balcony's to relax at. The Villa had a third story balcony. There are a couple pools and our Villa had an ocean view. The staff was friendly and security team was great. Le Cafe is the onsite restaurant. The food was good to great at all times. The kids enjoyed their custom ordered pizzas and the fries. We had to order extra baskets of fries as the ate them too quickly. Another big hit was the homemade icecream milkshakes. The beach was very nice in this area. Unlike closer to the Diani airport there was not a lot of rocks or coral pieces underfoot. The sand was incredibly soft. So was very comfortable getting in and out. *There are some beach boys in this area, but they was not very pushy or annoying. I never felt bad for saying no. I think since Galu is at the end of the strip it made for a calmer experience this time. One last note, it was easy to get Glovo deliveries for anything not at the hotel. Enjoy your stay. I will gladly book again."

"We arrived Wed. evening before Christmas. At 6pm the power went out. The lights worked but the A/C & frig did not. The staff was unconcerned & left for the night. It was very uncomfortable overnight at 80 degrees F & 90% humidity without A/C. The next morning the manager called an electrician. He was there several hours but couldn't fix the power, another night without A/C. The upstairs bathroom had no running water. The staff left buckets of water to flush the toilet. Around midnight, all power was lost -no lights or running water. We moved to a hotel early that morning. That afternoon the owner notified us the power was on & we could return. We had no confidence the power would remain. The staff had told us that the house power regularly stops working. We were concerned we would have no remedy over the holiday weekend. With water, refrigeration & electrical concerns (surging power, burning electrical smell & the frig had a grounding issue -would shock if touched) we decided not to return for the last 4 days of our reservation. We never felt a sense of concern or urgency for our situation, or that our stay was well below expectations. We were not offered any compensation for our discomfort for two days, loss of spoiled food or costs for moving/staying at the hotel. The villa is spacious & comfortable. We enjoyed the location close to the beach & the private pool. The staff were pleasant & the chef made delicious meals. But we picked this villa for 3 bedrooms with A/C."
