Great location, facilities and staff!!!
We had a great holiday staying at JR Inn Hakodate. The location is perfect! The clean, new and stylish building is adjacent to Japan Rail Station. Hakodate’s famous morning markets and seafood restaurants are also just a few steps away. The rooms and facilities are very functional, too. “Hot Spring” public baths are available on the top floor together with free coffee services. Also, there are coin operated washing machines available for the guests. But the most impressive thing about this hotel is their friendly and sincere staff. In fact, after we flew back to Tokyo, Mr. Miyazawa of the hotel called us about the coin purse my husband left in the room, and he kindly sent it to us. Mr. Miyakawa’s act just shows their sincerity and hospitality. Would love to go back to the hotel soon!

Great Location, Walkable to Kanemori Warehouses
Stayed one night in a twin room in between long travel days. Super conveniently located attached to the JR Station (and the shops there). Friendly and helpful staff. The staff at breakfast were especially lovely. Clean and well-stocked rooms. We had a nice walk along the waterfront to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses to stretch our legs and take in some sights.

This was a return visit to the hotel. The room is compact but very well presented. The staff were excellent. The only downside for some would be the breakfast buffet which is a magnificent Japanese spread. It is unashamedly for Japanese guests or those that enjoy this cuisine. There is a total lack of western choice. We enjoyed ourselves.

JR Inn Hakodate was an excellent choice for our stay at Hakodate. They offered free parking for our stay and we didn't mind walking to the next block to retrieve our car. It was conveniently located where the JR station is next to the hotel and dining options are across the street. We enjoyed our stay at JR Inn! The breakfast was excellent. Thank you, JR Inn!

Best Location
New hotel next to JR Hakodate station and few minutes walk to morning market. Pillow bar ( first come first serve) and great selection of bathroom amenities. Can weigh luggage by asking front desk. Taqbin service at station Everything perfect!

Stayed for first night in Hakodate. Was able to leave bags at front desk because I had arrived early. Very sweet check-in lady at front desk. Upstairs public bath was a nice addition, both indoor and outdoor. Pillow corner was really cool but get there early or you will miss out like me. Room was spacious and clean and had great layout. My favorite of the non resort/ryokan hotels I stayed at on this trip. Was able to keep bags at the front desk while I explored Goryokaku Park before my next check in❤️ Great team, service, location, room, and value. Would stay again.

We stayed at a room for 3 people. I would say it was not super spacious but large enough to feel comfortable. We loved that the toilet was separated from the tub/shower/ sink area. Also the large bath on the 12th floor was very nice.

JR inn is connected to JR Hakodate station so the location is very convenient to airport and tourist attractions. Wifi was very fast. Twin room size is spacious for 2 person. The hotel has a communal bath on the top floor with a lounge to relax with view. The morning seafood market is nearby and bus station is just in front of the hotel. It’s a great hotel when travelling to Hakodate.
