The mountains and lake were breathtaking, and it's awesome that the flying squirrel cabin felt like a home away from home. "We loved this property. Communication was great. The cabin is cozy and so cute. We had everything we needed and we're created with a very thoughtful snack basket waiting for us. On our first night a really bad storm took down a tree and (unfortunately) the dish. We were able to use wifi to watch TV. The location is remote- perfect to unwind and reset."

"We had a wonderful trip to Forge Lake Lodge. Home is one of a kind and the communication with the host was great. Views are incredible from the back deck. Navigating the last 2 miles of road before you reach the home can be intense but once you arrive its with it! "

"What an absolutely amazing property!! I will say as Floridians the almost mile hike up the road/driveway gave me butterflies, however, it was completely worth it! Once we arrived we didn’t want to leave, the house is gorgeous and had a wonderful welcoming flow, the outdoor spaces were amazing, even my little ones were excited to pick different places to eat, or draw or play and the views were stunning. The only slight let down was no wood supply. While they do give you two bundles for a week stay that’s nowhere near enough. Most mountain vacation rentals we’ve stayed in have a huge supply, but the woods were all around so we made due We would highly recommend."

"I was in town on business working a wedding, and rented this cabin for me, my employee, my husband, and 2 kiddos to stay in. It was only 6 minutes away from the Nantahala Weddings venue, and not a far drive to grocery stores and restaurants! Having a short commute made it so easy to maximize my family time before having to head off for work. Glenn had a welcome s’more kit waiting for us which we loved, and the large sectional couch was incredibly comfortable. This is perfect for a long weekend family getaway! Will definitely book again when back in the area."
