Our stay was pleasant, the room was generously sized, and the views were truly breathtaking. However, it is undeniable that the lodge is in dire need of a renovation. The furniture appeared outdated, reminiscent of a thrift store. While the king bed boasted luxurious linens, the comfort level left much to be desired. Our room was impeccably clean, but a comprehensive cleaning of the entire lodge is urgently required. The worn-out state of things is quite apparent! Maintenance is an absolute necessity. This place holds great potential. I am confident that a much-needed renovation is on the horizon for the future of this establishment.

I booked the Retreat because it was my first time taking the little kids skiing and coming from Los Angeles, we wanted something nearby to Lee Canyon with the amount of stuff and time to take little kids ready. First impression lobby and restaurant look nostalgic/cute. I booked the King Suite, which was perfect for a family with kids and ton of stuff. Rooms are outdated but didn’t bother us, but it had dusty corners, slow shower likely from mineral deposits in the shower head and the sofa mattress had a stain. We did show the front desk lady quickly the sofa mattress stain and they replaced it quickly. We were tired with kids, didn’t make a big deal. Restaurant was great comfort food! Lobby bathrooms needed more attention and cleanliness.

Pros: Secluded location Fireplace in the lobby Balcony option Cons: Rundown condition Expensive restaurant with near zero other options in the area No elevator Thin single blanket in the room As others have commented, the hotel is in need of a massive overhaul. It seems remodels had started but what was old and was ‘new’ a few years ago is unclear. If you’re aware of what you’re getting you can enjoy feeling away but it’s not great.

Cozy overall

Place is charming, but in need of an upgrade. The place does have a restaurant, but if you are looking to dine elsewhere that is about 18 miles away. Bring snack. Plan your trip accordingly, Lee Canyon is about a 30 minute drive.

This place is dated for sure. The room was nice enough and had some upgrades to modernize it, but the property as a whole just needs work. I knew this going into it, but I still wanted to spend some time in the mountains and there are limited options.

Excellent stay

Our stay was amazing. The location offers a cozy and comfortable environment as well as plenty of activities to do nearby. You can enjoy nature filled walk and hikes in the backyard of this beautiful establishment and later come back to eat a delicious dinner.

The hotel did not have an elevator Our room was in the 3 rd floor so that would have helped with our luggage Hotel needs attention in all the areas The view was amazing that was the only good thing about this stayed
