Friendly staff. Comfortable room. No shampoo in the bathroom and the tv technology (‘play your own content’) wasn’t working. Otherwise all good.

I checked in on line to save myself queuing. Well that didn’t work. Still had to queue. Long queue. Only 2 people on desk. 30 minutes in that. Got a free drink voucher. But still. That was not a good start. Superior room. Tiles in bathroom sone were damaged. Just looked dated and tired. Breakfast was awful. The mushrooms I had one and it had that much garlic it burnt my mouth. Really disappointed. Was meant to be a birthday treat for my partner. I felt so disappointed. Embarrassed I had got him that as part of his birthday. What’s happened? You used to be so good!! Won’t stay again.

Enjoyed time with friends, but very dissapointed that the room was only made up for 2, when 3 of us were booked to stay. Housekeeping did come to make up the sofa bed, but forgot to leave additional water, cup, mug or towels.

Not what was expected

Room had hole in carpet and ripped wallpaper. Heating wasn’t working in the room so was provided with a mobile heater. Only one member of reception staff were helpful during our stay others were extremely unhelpful. Toilets downstairs grim and smelly. As was the lift when we were checking out. Not sure if they had a problem with the drains. Having been a regular of this hotel for several years unfortunately it has gone downhill and we will be looking for somewhere else to stay on our future trips to Leeds.

The staff were friendly and professional. Our room was beautiful but on the corner at the very top so we could hear the wind a lot. The room was a little cool for us and we had trouble warming it up but overall we thought this was a lovely hotel and will stay again.
