As with most hotels in London the rooms are small but that's not a problem. Although small the rooms were comfortable. The staff were friendly and the hotel location was only a couple minutes walk from Gloucester Road Station with shops and pubs around. The History Museum is directly across the road if that's your thing. All in all I would recommend the hotel and consider staying here again.
From when I walked into Eden Plaza Kensington it looked beautiful, what wasn’t beautiful was the receptionist attitude! I asked a simple question “How do you get to the rooms?” As I had never stayed at this hotel before but he had such a bad attitude just pointing and said “The lift is over there, your on the fifth floor!”. Anyway to the room, it was very clean and tidy especially the bathroom and was impressed with the shower. I had a view of a tree out the window but that wasn’t important to me. The bed was very comfortable when sleeping but I’d point out that there was a lot of traffic making noise through the night so if your a soft sleeper I’d wouldn’t recommend. I slept well and the pillows too were really comfortable and not too soft. In the morning there was a lot of noise with people checking out so if your someone who wants to sleep in then again I wouldn’t recommend. I was impressed with the great value I got especially being somewhat close to Central London.
All in all, a great stay! Only that receptionist attitude on Check In disappointed me!
Location of the hotel is superb. The room was really tiny, it was a triple occupancy family room and it was way too small and absolutely not fit for purpose. This made the overnight stay really uncomfortable. However the person at the reception was very friendly and helpful, with his help we were able to select al much better quadruple occupancy family room for our 2nd night.
The service was not good
The tv was glitchey on every channel
The shower leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom
The bath taps were very loose
I cut my leg on the toilet roll holder as tmits over the top of the toilet
Live socket with no wire for the kettle
Efficient check in. Was upgraded to a family room. Found someone’s leftovers in the fridge and a pair of trousers in the room that weren’t ours so did doubt that level of cleanliness. Great location only a few minutes from the nearest tube station. Would definitely stay again.
The room I had was very small and I was thankful we were only staying the night and literally used it to sleep in and thats it. Did not use the shower facilities as I didnt feel comfortable with the level of cleanliness. The carpets were worn, the windows were not functioning and there was lots of noise. There is a charge for breakfast but we didnt use it and instead went up the road to a very upscale hotel for a similar price.
An ok hotel in a good location. I've been advised the WiFi is a work in progress. If a business traveller request a higher floor as the 'first floor' is a basement with no mobile signal and a patchy WiFi, although on my last day the service was improved and the manager advises me a better service will be installed. I guess lockdown has meant business has been patchy so understand it can take a while to get things right.

Liked: Cleanliness
It’s Chinese government’s territory.
Full of wumao, propaganda, defamation and poison gas.
Fixing ventilation and air con doesn’t help because they put gas in corridor.
Whole stories filled with harmful gas and no one response. Caught a man with big can hold in hand.
Police not picking up call & idk what is the reception doing.
Security depends on attitude, not tools.
Overall the hotel was nice. The only thing was that it didn't say in the description that it's a small double bed otherwise I would've got the twin room. Air con was controlled by the reception so we couldn't turn it on or control it from the room which was ridiculous cos it was really hot at night even though I went down to ask to turn the aircon up cos it was too hot. The morning when we was checking out the air con was turned off at 7am and we had to ring and ask them to turn it back on. It seemed ridiculous why we couldn't just control it from the room since we couldn't sleep where it was too hot in the room at night. The air con only went on for 10mins every hour.
