Despite a friendly staff, I was a little surprised to see the condition of the property. The entrance was located down a poorly lit side street (photo of side entrance area attached) and the room was above a seemingly mothballed Thai restaurant with graffiti all over it. Digital door locks were unreliable and required multiple attempts to get to even turn on to enter the codes (3 separate codes needed to eventually get into your room!)
The room itself was very tired and real need of updating, with rough plaster patches, exposed plumbing, and missing shower doors for example. No TV channels, just on demand services that you need to log into your own accounts to use (don't forget to log out before you leave!).
Strongly not recommended for single female travellers.
Terrible property. We were due to stay for 4 nights but had to leave after the first night. Unclean and not as described in the details. Missing appliances and there were bugs crawling from under the kitchen cabinets. Very poor/uncomfortable mattress. The host then refused to refund us for the 3 nights that we did not stay.
Couldnât travel-
Yes .. it was no cancellation. But we had very legitimate family reasons for not travelling which involved a bereavement. Pleaded very very well in advance through hotels.com ( who said they did their best to come to some arrangement but no joy whatsoever) ah well - definitely lesson learned.
Apartment was okay, and the host was friendly from the single interaction we had, however there were several small issues with the room that should have been rectified before our stay. The wallpaper was peeling from the top do the roof and a sliding shower door was missing from the shower. (We asked for extra towels to deal with this which was ignored). The shower water pressure was very weak and the shower holder was broken. Overall it was an okay stay.
Should have put the side street it was on it would have been easier to find . You had to put 6 digits codes in three different doors to get in and get to your room . Keys or key cards would ha ve been easier.
Bad apartment it was dirty
Bedding was dirty appliances dirty
Shower dirty
Floor was coming up
Wallpaper coming off wall
We booked a delux room and paid extra not delux at all
We had to book somewhere else and are requesting a refund
A group of flats above a Thai restaurant. Scetchy as f*** alleyway to get in, and three door codes. Would personally not ever think of staying here again.
Var en lang kode for Ä komme inn ytterdÞra. SÄ pÄ nytt en kode for Ä komme opp trappa, sÄ pÄ nytt en kode for Ä komme inn dÞra pÄ rommet. HÄplaust.
I tillegg hadde dÊm overvÄkningskamera over alt. Og ene person som jobbet der hadde bilder av at en av oss kom inn dÞra pÄ sin telefon. Meget spesielt.
Nice hotel, but not really boutique đ
Location is good, 15 minutes walk to underground and 10 to overground. Good bus service on main road taking you to Liverpool Street.
Getting access to room was different, you have to go to Thai Restaurant, where you are given codes to enter the hotel area. Staff took me to the room, which was good but no reception.
Room was good, what I would expect for budget hotel.. if you're expecting boutique, you'll be disappointed.
Room size was very good, facing street but not to noisy. Mattress on bed was not good, one side was fine but one side had clearly been overused.
Ensuite was good with nice shower.
Would recommend and stay again.

The staff go above and beyond, always providing friendly and attentive service along with great local tips. Located in a convenient area, itâs easy to explore the cityâs highlights and come back to a peaceful, stylish retreat. Highly recommend Shuteyes for anyone seeking a memorable and relaxing stay in London!
Great location with very friendly and helpful staff who were responsive to any inquiries or requests. The connected restaurant was also top notch and highly recommended. This place is a good value for such a thriving and fun part of London, just make sure to read the check in instructions.
