While we checked in after hours management was available by house phone at the entrance and gave us instructions for getting the cabin key as well as a nice map to the cabin. He also recommended a nice restaurant in the city center.

A Great Place to Visit and Stay
Wonderful one night stay. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a comfortable 2 bedroom unit with ample supply of milk for coffees etcetera. Flexible arrival and departure times. Told us of restaurants that offered a free pickup and drop off service for dinner. Like them I can highly recommend the Birdcage Hotel as a great place to eat. For those who want to stay in there was a beautifully clean BBQ area and pool A family owned business that goes that extra mile In all the Saltbush Retreat was a great place to visit and stay!

This place is a must if you are spending time in Longreach. Our family of four stayed in a Slab Hut which was extremely clean, very comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The whole place had a really nice feel and the hosts were so friendly and inviting. Could not fault this place and will be visiting in the future.

The cabins were very well appointed attractive , comfortable and themed well inside and out . Beds and pillows comfy , bathroom facilities excellent, coffee machine and other kitchen needs well provided for. Location was convenient to many attractions. Management were most helpful and happy to engage. Good pool, laundry and other facilities . Would definitely recommend.
