Overall not terrible. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. We had a room on the main floor and listened to stompy cat up above us all night so the upper level would probably be better. We would stay again though.

Good location, poor bed.
We were traveling through McBride for one night. The hotel was reasonably priced and in a good location. Our room was at the back of the building so Highway 16 noise was minimized. However, the one thing that is important to me is the bed. I don't care if the bathroom is updated to the latest fixtures or it has ha big TV, as long as the room is clean. I do expect a decent bed to sleep on. This was probably the worst mattress I've experienced in a hotel in many, many years. It was well past it's best before date and sagging terribly.

My wife had completed a long online pre-registration and entered her credit card, but had to do the whole procedure again at the front desk. Waste of time. The desk clerk wasn’t really helpful telling us where to park. Our room was at the back of the motel on a dirt lane, so we just parked sideways in the bumpy lane way. The room looked pretty clean, but the one side of the bed’s sheets were covered in a variety of different hair (see photo). I got a lint roller from the front desk and cleaned off five lint sheets full of hair. Very gross. The other side of the bed had no hair. Bizarre! The rest of the room was mostly okay, but the tv had two vertical lines running through it. After an hour or so, the tv starting going to black every few seconds, so we just shut it off. The room was very warm and stuffy, but the window ac was pretty loud, so we shut it off when we went to bed. The WiFi was good. Breakfast was average.

Okay hotel, after a bad day.
Hotel was clean, front desk was unhelpful and kind of rude, but I also was in a bad mood from rental car breaking down so I may have already been upset. Basically though, the room was clean, beds pretty comfortable, price reasonable compared to many others around.

Our room was very hot and the a/c didn’t blow any cool air … just air from outside! Breakfast was very limited … toast/bagels/yogurt/cereal and luke warm eggs and warm, not hot, coffee!
