First of all you cant really use an VRBO as a place to stay when entering the bahamas unless you have an address and name of the person you are stsying with. Since i didnt get any information until i was already on the island, I had to quickly book a hotel room to be allowed into Nassau.
I was busy most of my time getting our sailboat ready so I didnt use this place for much more than a quick place to sleep, nap, shower, and store my bags until i could move everything to the boat. So it worked out well for me.
Locating the property wasnt easy as taxi drivers didnt know how to find it and GPS ended up taking us through all the back alleyway's that GPS could find. And the owner kept sending google maps as the address instead of just sending the actual address. I finally got a taxi driver who grew up nearby and he knew the general area, but even he needes to circle back a few times to be able to get to the correct street. I understand that locals might understand where to go, but visitors need more details. 'Blue house with white trim on the hill' isnt enough information for even the taxi drivers to find the house.
The place was very clean and everything was functional, the bed was perfectly made and comfortable. There are 2 TVs but I didnt have time to even watch TV due to trying to provision our boat and prep everything for my families arrival.
The hostess is very sweet, but i guess she didnt get the VBRO email or wasnt watching for them, so she didnt know I was coming.
