This was our first trip to Aruba, and the Rio Palace was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The resort is spacious and welcoming, with every staff member making you feel right at home. We stayed in the all-inclusive section, where meals and drinks were part of the package. While my wife and I don’t drink, so I can’t comment on the quality of the cocktails, I did notice plenty of French champagne bottles floating around! The food, however, was exceptional. We were always impressed by the variety offered at every meal. The location of the resort is fantastic—situated in a great part of the island with plenty of entertainment nearby, including restaurants, other resorts, and a ton of activities. Before visiting Aruba, we were frequent guests in Turks and Caicos. Now, we’re torn between the two destinations because each has its own unique vibe. That said, Aruba definitely impressed us with its charm. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to Aruba. It was an unforgettable experience!

RIU never disappoints! This is our 3rd visit to a RIU and we were very pleased. Food options were great, beach was excellent, and entertainment was very, very good! I definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to have fun in the sun!!

There is only only one thing that I didn't find to be acceptable: I am an early-riser and have a cup of coffee when I'm at home each morning while I go through my emails, etc. (not a caffeine freak--just love the warm cup each morning). I made coffee in my hotel room each morning before the dining room opened, and enjoyed sitting on my balcony watching the workers very meticulously clean the pool and grounds area. When the coffee pods/sugar packets ran out, the maid said she couldn't give me any more because they only re-stock them every nine days. I was tryng to understand her Spanish, so she may have meant every 7 days.They also didn't supply creamer, powdered or otherwise. I didn't use any of the in-room alcohol, so I was a "cheap date". I had only one cup of coffee a day, so I didn't use the packets exessively...just one a day. For the price I paid to stay there, I would think they would keep the coffee supplied. I am sure there were other visitors who never touched the in-room coffee, so I know they weren't in short supply.

The property was nice everything close by that you can walk too, the only problem was going into the restaurants you need to get beeper system by 6pm and it can go off any time and if u aren’t ready then u don’t get in. Plus they don’t take any more people after 8pm

We we having a great time up until I slipped in my hotel room. Our air conditioning stopped working and was leaking all over the floor, the floors are hard tiles and became quite slippery. Maintenance “fixed” it but the ac would not operate after she shut it off. The house keepers never came to mop up the water. Hotel staff did not seem to really care.

All staff were very friendly and hard working. Always with smiles w professional courtesy. Special thanks to Shamira who is waitress and Leydia who attended beach towels. Also pool bar staff for attending in such lovely manner . We had awesome view from our room ( thank you very much for upgrading to front desk young lady at check in ).the room itself was very spacious and beautifully done. Front desk staff works very efficiently yet with nice smiles. I was very impressed of selection of buffet menu so extensive. We tried a la carte restaurant only once. Excellent food and service. There are variety of a la crate restaurant . Non stop flow of cava ( sparkling wine ) is delightful. ( at room very good quality of liquor such as Johnny walker, absolute vodka were offered as all inclusive so as several selections of room service 24 hours . ) room is well equipped and thoughtfully renovated. House keeping staff were working above and beyond. Special thanks to the cleaning staff at restaurant cleaning non stop. We loved crystal clear water and powder snow whitening sand!! This is second time I stayed and looking forward going back there for the third time.
