Fairly comfortable all around. Strange check in/out process. If you leave the hotel, you have to turn your key in & get it back when you return. Overall pleasant stay.
My wife and I had an excellent time at the Oxford Royal Hotel. It was our first time in Oxford and wanted a hotel close to bus and train stations. This hotel location was great for all our needs. Many restaurants were just a 5 minute walk up the street. Our bathroom was newly renovated and the beds were clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here during your stay in Oxford.

Liked: Staff & service
A bit on the expensive side for what you get. UK is very inconsistent when it comes to have a price standard for lodgings.
Nice hotel, very close to train station and bus terminal. Excellent shopping and dining options just down the road. Close to many historical buildings.
The property is located right next to a delicious restaurant, and the property is very close to the train station! This was very important for us as older women, traveling by rail around the country! We were delighted to see the hotel as we were leaving the station! The staff was super friendly and helpful in every way. We really appreciated the help getting our luggage upstairs! Thank you so much! We highly recommend the Royal Oxford to all travelers!
Hotel is very close to train station and within walking distance of most things you’d like to see in Oxford. There’s no lift but staff will help you carry luggage up the stairs. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are big. It’s not luxury, but it’s clean, comfortable & close to everything. I’d definitely stay again.
Although right by the station which was convenient but had a room over the entrance of sainsbury and the main road. There was late night noise outside, and construction work early in the morning. Not hotels fault, but maybe double glazing may have helped.
Well appointed spot right near the train station. We’re kind enough to hold my bags until the room was ready, then carried them up the flights to my room. Room was simple, but comfortable. lovely chocolates left on the pillows. Sits above a neighborhood bar, so it was quite rowdy at night.
