Poor communication before stay
Only discovered the night before our stay that the restaurant and bar would be closed, despite having had emails from them beforehand. Arrived in the dark(our fault) and did not relish driving anywhere to eat after a long day, so we had brought in some food. Some advice about the closure would have been appreciated. Check in left a lot to be desired. Kept waiting an awful long time and did not feel at all welcoming. The room itself was really lovely, so I’m sure if we had arrived on a different day our feelings would not be the same

The only thing that wasn’t great was our check in experience. We approached the desk and waited a few moments until someone called the clerk out of the back. She took a position about 8 ft away and said nothing. I asked where she needed us and she said down there. She proceeded to complete our check in efficiently but gave the impression we were a major interruption in her day.

Quiet among the tall pines
Beautiful area with clean, well appointed rooms and common areas. They could skip the "Resort Fee" this time of year, as there really isn't much opportunity for an overnight guest to use the amenities.

Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the putting greens. The grounds keeper saw us clearly the leaves and then went and got a leaf blower for us to play, even though it was 7am.
