welcoming & accommodating staff with good sense of humour. easy check in. good breakfast. quiet room (I was upstairs) room cleanliness needs a bit of work, wax or similar in carpet, areas not receiving adequate vacuums cleaning. bathroom was pretty dirty in corners - just more attention to detail needed. Bed slightly collapsed in middle resulting in an uncomfortable few nights and possibly a back treatment later this week.

The bathroom was not cleaned up with a full bin. I made a request for forgotten toiletries and was told none was available i.e. toothbrushes, sanitary towels which was quite disappointing with no apology given. The entry door was not clean with cobwebs near the handles. This can be really disappointing

Comfortable stay, but too far out of the city. Receptionist told us we had not paid, despite us saying we understood that we had, through last minute.com. We paid again with a credit card, went to our room, and checked documents. Realised we had paid, a different receptionist checked and refunded our 2nd payment.

This property was conveniently located for my purposes. Check in was quick and smooth, with no complaints. Room could have been cleaner but was not dirty, the main thing was a foul smelling drain (I think) which seemed to only happen in the late evening, (I stayed 2 nights). Breakfast was decent and staff were present and answered questions when asked. I would stay again

Clean, comfortable but noisy.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, only downside was the lorries parked not far from our window and starting up during the night. Other than that very clean and comfortable, we would stay again but get a room in a different location of the hotel.

Nice price and quiet, check in staff friendly. Very busy and tight car park especially if you have a van. Next door is harvester but couldn't get food as way too busy. Breakfast free and ok for free. Location was main reason for the stay and in my budget.

Amazingly good for the price
I loved this hotel. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room & bathroom were clean, with good quality shampoo, body wash and hand wash by Dove. The bathroom door did double service as a door that could close off the toilet area, which was a little awkward, but did mean one person could potentially use the toilet while another was cleaning their teeth. The settee & bed were comfortable, and the desk area was great too. I think the bed was only a 4'6" double, rather than a king - but that was fine for me on my own. The "wardrobe" was just an open rail, and I don't think there was a single drawer in the entire room. I managed ok, but my wife would have moaned about the lack of drawers. I am used to Holiday Inn Express in America, with low quality breakfasts served on a paper plate, with plastic cutlery, so I found the included breakfast, with proper plates & cutlery much better than I expected - with a variety of top brand cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, croissants, Danish pastries, a variety of jams, marmalades, honey, marmite, etc for the toast - together with a hot selection of Cumberland sausages, bacon, scrambled egg & beans, with proper Heinz ketchup, plus HP sauce - with enough staff to clear & clean the tables promptly. I also enjoyed the cappuccino, and selection of other coffees, teas & hot chocolate, as well as fruit juice. The bar seemed to have a decent selection of drinks, and a pleasant buzz in the evening. This is definitely a great hotel for the money.

Property very nice but despite a clear sign in the room offering feather pillows if preferred a trip to reception was greeted with ‘we don’t have any left’. Surely not that many people wanted them and why offer if there aren’t enough? On arrival we were asked if we wanted a room on the ground or first floor, our reply being ground. Then we were told ‘your rate only offers first floor’. We didn’t barter a rate, it was what their website offered! We were then given the furthest room on the top floor, a bit frustrating as our reason for ground floor choice was for 2 pensioners to avoid struggling with bags. Last shock was taking the second theoretical clean bath towel only to find a dried brown 3d stain on it. This can’t have survived an industrial wash so it must be a case of staff not checking all towels are unused. Off putting re a future stay but equally breakfast next morning very good.
