We had spent the day hiking at Starved Rock, and we wanted a hotel with a hot tub. So we didn't have to many options in the area we want to start our next day. Was disappointed our thermostat/room unit was not working properly. Our ice bucket had water in it still and microwave had cheese in it as well. We go to try to relax in hot tub a bit after 9pm unfortunately lots of child and unsupervised made it very hard. Their screams echoed through the area.

Was created with a smile by the check in clerk and he was very friendly. He was sure to let us know the pool hours and check out time for the hotel. Room was large in size and upon first glance around it appeared clean and neat. Bedsheets had stains but smelt clean, pills had stains as well on the cases. Picture frames in the bathroom had white splatter on them. Also the water pressure was lacking for the shower, not sure if it’s from pressure problems or calcium buildup on the shower head, but it could’ve been better. Other than that rooms were quiet, bed was very comfortable, and water was hot. Breakfast was delicious and surprising to find a large variety of food to choose from. Hot and fresh eggs and sausage, waffle set up, bagels, cereal, bread, yogurt, juice, and the live goes on. The guy the checked us in was very attentive to the breakfast bar and ensured to pay good attention to it especially when a lot of people would come in. Breakfast area had lots of seating and allowed guests to be spaced out. Parking lot was roomy. No questionable people hanging outside at any hour. I felt like my vehicle was in a safe environment while I rested.

The hotel is in need of repairs. Breakfast was t impressive at all (but it was free). Check in was very slow, maybe due to a language barrier. Check out, waiting for the receipt, the guy was on talking in a different language on his personal phone, while checking us out. Pretty unprofessional

Good stay, it was a comfortable bed and nice space. If it wasn't for the noise, loud music, someone banging next door which was the lobby restrooms early in the am, and the bathroom smelled bad in our room it would've been a perfect stay.

The elevator did not work and we had a handicapped person in our group. We were not warned or compensated with a ground floor option. The elevator had been out of commission an extended time before our arrival. Rooms could use some cleaning. There is a large amount of semi drivers with it's location to the interstate. It is close to the Dunes parks, but not much else.
