Very nice quiet resort. Nice pool with swim up bar. Hotel has a great breakfast, with omelets available. We had the 3 bedroom and the view is amazing.

Property needs a little refresh...Our bedroom floor had serious water damage, paint was peeling in the pool area. The hotel promised to have a taxi ready at 5:15 am to take us to the airport and forgot to do it. They called one and it was OK but it was a stressful morning!

Delightful Stay Before Bora Bora
We enjoyed our stay at Te Moana Tahiti Resort. The breakfast was a wonderful treat and enjoyed the infinity pool and beach bar! There is a store where you can buy souvenirs as well. The mention of roosters in the other reviews is true; however, I think we got used to it by the second morning. Very friendly staff.

Te Moana was a fabulous place to land when we flew in from the states. We stayed 2 nights so had a day to enjoy the pool and other facilities. Breakfast was fabulous and generous. Wonderful hotel, nice and very helpful staff - not far from the museum which is a must. Also the Blue Banana Restaurant is a must go if you can get a table on the dock or water. The only negative was we went to the seaside bar and spent 57.00 for 3 tequilas. So don't expect budget prices.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Loved the infinity pool and the lagoon, though the pool is due for a paint job. Swam in the lagoon and was amused by how many fish were in there that could not be seen from the surface. Rooms were clean and balcony nice. Lovely breakfast restaurant. Lunch and dinner menu was expensive with little variety.

Perfect hotel to start or end your stay!
This was a great hotel to end our trip. They were very accommodating for our late flight: we had full access to the pool area and a shower/day room free of charge. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Anthony at the bar was the man with his craft cocktail creations. Tim at the pool set us up with awesome extrusions and answered all our questions. Gigi (Gg??) the dive master for an incredible diving experience. Also, all the people we didn’t get their names for keeping the hotel running and super clean- thank you! We tried to stay another night but they were full. We highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

We have stayed at Te Moana 3 times while in Papeete. Loads of excursions to choose from. A beautiful saltwater lagoon to swim in and a gorgeous pool with swim up bar

The staff here is lovely. So helpful and kind. They took our stay to the next level. The pool needs to be resurfaced pretty badly. It’s a shame as it ruins the main view of the hotel.

The hotel met all my expectations and more. They helped me get a private transport from the ferry to hotel. The day I left. They let me spend most of the day in the hotel where I could hang at pool, eat and rest. Then they provided me a room to shower before my taxi picked me up to go to airport for my 11:55pm flight. They receive a 5+ rating. Highly recommend!! Thank you!

Large comfortable apartment with stove top and microwave. Friendly staff. Lovely cocktail bar on the Motu where we saw a reef shark and some colourful fish. A large selection of fruit and cheese at the buffet breakfast all chices of breakfast foods.

We were initially booked in at another high end property, and changed to Te Moana on a friends recommendation. Our first three days were in a garden view suite and our second three days were in an ocean view suite. The suites were both great! Clean, comfortable, well appointed. The garden view was private and quiet. The ocean view was just gorgeous. One of the best we've ever enjoyed. Sunset on the balcony gazing over the strait to Morea was just glorious. The pool suited our needs well (a bit old, but still wonderful to swim with the infinity view of the ocean). The icing on the cake was the safe snorkeling lagoon. A little bit of coral and lots of nice fish. We didn't use the restaurant/s or bars much (they are expensive, but well in keeping with comparable venues throughout Tahiti), rather we self catered. Walk out of the resort, turn left and cross the road, there is a small supermarket. Fresh french baguette for breakfast is glorious. At 6pm, walk out of the resort, turn left and continue walking past the supermarket. In the parking area near the dive shop food trucks set up with a variety on offer. The resorts location near a supermarket and food trucks made it great for us. The comfy units, glorious views, good pool, and good-enough safe nearby snorkelling were an added bonus.

We stayed for 6 days at Te Moana, 3 days in a garden view suite and 3 days in an ocean view suite. Both stays were excellent. Both suites were clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The view from the ocean view suite, was in our opinion, one of the most beautiful ocean views we've ever had the priviledge to enjoy. The pool was great, and we particularly enjoyed the snorkeling in the enclosed lagoon. We didn't use the restaurant's much, we self catered, and a small supermarket if you walk out of the resort, turn left and cross the road. A bit further down the road on the same side as the resort, at 6pm food trucks set up, which gives a great alternative to the resort restaurants. We will be back.

Very expensive for your return. Very hard to book activities/obtain information . Slow service. Errors on billing. Roosters noisy inside the resort. Flies on food at breakfast. I would not recommend this property.

The property, resort, pool, and outdoor areas are very comfortable and nice. Free use of kayaks and paddleboards are perfect for checking out the reef. Whale watching tour was great. The rooms are large, but spartan. The bathroom is spacious, but the WC isn't much bigger than on an airplane. We stayed before and after our Windstar cruise. There were issues checking in the second time, but the manager and housekeeping reacted immediately to solve the problems. Not much in the area, good place for a night or two, not a long stay.
