Property is very big and it seems everything is pretty much located outside of the adults only. Everything is pretty much closed at midnight for the adults so need to wander over to family side if you wish to continue your evening. Overall a nice place

The resort was excellent..the room service was a little difficult, not sure if it was the language barrier though, and the mini fridge didnt always get stocked. Otherwise, its a beautiful spot, quiet, gorgeous beach and sunrises and excellent food

There is some great food, and some not great food. Overall the rooms are dated but the facilities are impressive and they work very hard to keep everything clean and tidy. Entertainment on the adult side is a blast! Will be back.

I suggest staying at the regular Barcelo, VIP adults only is nice but the food at the family hotel was better. Most staff were rude, which I was surprised to see. The only great benefit with having VIP was free room service. Other than that, save your money. But I love going to D.R.

Barcelo is amazing and that singer who does the salsa show on Thursday and the merengue show Sunday was incredible and the band were total professionals !!! All the bartender and waitresses were also very kind .... Beach was incredible... Almost as incredible as that salsa singer.... Can't wait to come back as this was my third stat ... And hope to see you soon !!!

The property is really clean and nice. The service has gone down a little from previous years. Not sure if they have enough personnel. Lacking some activities. The restaurants are all lacking service and it is just better food at the buffet.
