Unbeknownst to us our room was located in an 'annex' building approximately a quarter block from the main hotel. The breakfast room, bar and staff were located in the main hotel so to access services one had to exit (by way of stairs, two separate codes and an elevator) and walk the block on a very busy street. Not what I would call a pleasant/ convenient experience especially at this price point. The staff did their best to accommodate this set up. However, my biggest disappointment was the privacy and lighting situation in the room. The bathroom door is lightly frosted glass so anyone sitting on the commode can be clearly seen by anyone in the main room. Awkward if traveling with a friend but even a couple might find this unnerving. To make matters worse the light in the bathroom doesn't have a switch so to turn it off you have to take the key card out of the docking station. If you do that the docking station generates a very bright light (presumably so you can find it in the dark?) filling the room. So you either deal with a lit up bathroom with the see through door, or a dark bathroom but a bright light at the bedside while you are trying to sleep. We attempted to cover the docking station, and even asked the staff if something could be done but to no avail. I should have brought/bought an eye mask but honestly we had to compensate for a far away annex, lack of privacy in the bathroom and lighting concerns to even think of recommending this hotel.

Place was small but great! Staff were friendly, especially Linn. He was super kind and helpful. He carried our bags next door to our room and made sure we were comfortable. The only issue we had was that our shuttle did not show up to the airport. We had to take a taxi.

The property in part, is in t process of renovation So far, this old convent building is being transformed into a modern, beautifully stylish, and i accessible for disabled, building. However, there are some things still needing attention: Shower Pressure in some rooms is too low, Air conditioning breaking, leaving the room too warm. The staff open bedroom windows, but during late evenings, this allows mosquitoes to enter. We were bitten in a few places as we had kicked off the sheet during the night. Water leaked onto bathroom floor, so shower unit seal needs re sealed where the glass is and lastly, the furniture. It would be nice to reach the hanging rack inside the wardrobe. if short in height, you will truly struggle to hang garments up. And no drawer or mirror in the main bedroom desk unit. Simple things, but would make life easier if replaced & repaired. Apart from that, the bed is lovely and comfy, fridge & a safe. Complimentary bottled waters and an espresso pod machine in your room. Bathroom Spa slippers, shampoo, body wash, tissues and hairdryer. Breakfast is lovely and plentiful: Cornetto's filled with nutella or crema, salami hams and cheeses, scrambled or boiled eggs, smoked salmon & much more. Lovely coffees, teas, juices and water. The building is fabulous: Set in a double inner courtyard shared with other permanent residents.The Hotel is set furthest back in the two courtyards. Less than 10 minutes slow walk to either The Pantheon or the Victor Emmanuel

This is a lovely hotel and in part, is still in a state of renovation. However, some things need urgent attention: Air conditioning: Two of our three rooms had faulty Aircon. The staff told us they'd repair it, but instead, opened the windows wide. This in turn, let mosquitoes in to which at night, we were bitten, but never heard them. Strangely enough! The shower was powerful in my room, but in my son's it had low water pressure. We've stayed twice in this hotel and would stay again, however, the hotel owner must invest in better air-conditioning, replace leaking shower water seals and some shower hose pressures. The wardrobe hangers are too high up. I Struggled to hang items up. If disabled or short in height, this would be very difficult. No bedroom drawer or mirror at the main bedroom desk, only 3 small drawers inside the wardrobe. The staff were lovely, the hotel design was stylish and clean and the breakfast tasty. Oh! the beds were also comfy and the TV had some English Speaking TV Channels. In the Rooms you get an Nespresso Pod Machine and two large Complimentary Bottles of Water: Sparkling and Still. The area is most excellent! Restaurants, Cafe's Tram, Buses right outside the hotel courtyard entrance. The Pantheon and Victor Emmanuel Building not even a 10 mins slow walk away. The fascinating museum excavation sight where Caesar was assassinated is directly opposite the hotel. It also combines a wee cat sanctuary.

Pros: Excellent bellhop service. Great response times. They tried to make a horrible stay better by offering us a room switch and complementary wine. Rooms are well furnished and comfortable. It also is extremely close to a number of monuments. Negatives: Our first room was in the annex: it is down the street in a dark and dusky alleyway. You need 2 codes to enter your room and must go up 2 flights of stairs. The noise from the hotel above us was astronomical! It took a great deal of effort to get this issue addressed, at one point the staff lied to Expedia and said they had rectified the noise problem, when there continued to be noise. This was infuriating. Our 2nd room was in the main hotel: way less noise. The elevators on the premises can only fit one person at a time. There is only 1 English Channel on the TV- so brush up on your Italian. The wifi was intermittent-- so go outside and see Rome. Overall, severely overpriced at $1600 for 4 nights -- no breakfast included.

Great location and really nice room. Very clean and comfortable. The property is very close to a lot of restaurants and tourist attractions. The pantheon is a 5 minute walk away. Staff was really helpful with recommending restaurants and transportation from the airport and train station. We would definitely return!

The hotel was in a good location, however this is not good for anyone that can’t carry luggage up a flight of stairs. Elevator starts on the second floor. We arrived at 7:00pm and there is no one to greet you. No actual lobby or not any way to talk to a receptionist. We were a bit lost on the arrival process. They do not have any food on property including drinks/snacks. Note: Our hotel lost power for 6 hours (scheduled or accidental road work issue-not sure). No elevators, AC, lights, TV, wifi, etc…. The hallways were completely dark. This should have been immediately addressed by text or messenger to the guests to make arrangements for the day. We could not take showers or be able to prepare for our dinner plans.

Amazing! The room and bathroom were very spacious and very pretty. The staff were accommodating, friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Walkable to so many sights, Trastevere, Jewish ghetto and more! Would definitely recommend!
