Check in was terrible, they couldn't find the reservation, and when they did, they couldn't put the 2 rooms side by side, and they were supposed to be identical. They ended up separating the rooms 4 rooms apart and then one of the rooms was the wrong type, not the one we paid for. Then there was a weird baby powder garbage smell in the entire hotel. Strongest in the lobby, but so strong that's all I could taste, smell and possibly hear it was so strong. Aside from all that, not a bad place to stay or location.

The good - staff is very nice and the property looks updated and is very convenient to Kalahari resort (2 min away). There are plenty of food options in the area, 3 of which in walking distance. The bad - the whole building smells musty and like pet urine, and they try to mask it with very strong room sprays which makes things worse. The rooms AC (window units) are very loud and do not stop (they run continuously) making it very unpleasant to sleep. The floors were very sticky and dirty, and the shower hadn't been cleaned in a while - the previous guests hair was still there(!). The closet door was stuck and they weren't able to open it so they moved rooms. The smell in the room is terrible. The doors key got disconnected the second day and I couldn't get in the room (had to go downstairs and was told that "someone" had checked me out) the morning I was supposed to check out the housekeeping ladies knocked on my door and told me they had me checked out, they were very nice and waited until I finished packing, but it makes one wonder... All in all, I wouldn't stay there again, despite the staff being very nice.

The hotel clerk was very abrupt- not rude (though it would be easy to associate it as rudeness)- just very direct. Didnt seem to want to answer a question about where to park (the entire property is marked as a fire lane). The room wasnt bad, but the AC didnt really work well and the bathroom shelf was missing meaning i had nowhere to put my toiletries while showering. Clear it had been there based on caulk lines but now was missing. Otherwise, pretty standard hotel experience.
