Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. The room was a bit small but we knew that going in and it was exactly as advertised. The bathroom was very nice and spacious. The only hitch was the godzilla head terrance was out of service for the entirety of our trip, not a big deal as I’m sure there were circumstances beyond the hotels control, but the circumstances were never communicated. Still cool to see it from the outside though. The hotel is located right in the middle of shinjuku’s party central, which could be good or bad depending on what you want. I will say we did not hear any commotion from below and the room was very quiet despite the hecticness outside. There was a 24/7 7/11 right at the foot of the hotel which was super convenient.

You are literally in the thick of Tokyo’s night life. Food options galore. Abit sad that the Godzilla Head access has been closed for awhile and no sign of re-opening soon. Was still able to snap up some pics. Close walk to all the train stations, would stay again.

I found the property to be in good condition in a convenient location. It has excellent AC (a must in Tokyo and Tokyo adjacent). My booking didn't mention the lobby is on the 8th floor, so was interesting finding the check-in desk visiting this property for the first time. Rooms are well appointed (comfy bed, blackout blinds, western style WC/showers, AC) and staff are attentive and friendly. Especially the Front desk staff and the concierge who was exceptionally helpful on a few occasions. Great experience overall at the property. Cool Godzilla theme - a bonus for those enthusiastic with Godzilla (they also have a Godzilla themed floor, deserts in the lounge and gift shop). Within 10 minutes walking to Shinjuku station. Accessible by Taxi/Uber too. The hotel is in the the Kabuki-cho district in Shinjuku which has a Time Square (NYC) like vibe. Meaning tons of lights/sights/sound, entertainment, restaurants, etc. within a few dense blocks. It borders a more civilized part of Shinjuku filled with higher end shopping, dining experiences and more. While I specifically felt that the Kabuki-cho district is one of the more grungy areas I visited in metro Tokyo area - I felt safe day and night exploring, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Just be mindful of touts in these colourful areas (touting is illegal in Japan but doesn't stop them from trying to swindle you).

The hotel is nice, but the area is not family friendly at all! Be prepared to see a lot of grown up entertainment, I booked this for Godzilla to surprise my son and I was afraid of taking him out of the hotel after dark.

This was our second time staying at Hotel Gracery. The staff is always super nice and helpful, and the rooms are always clean. We love the separate shower and toilet rooms. The hotel is located in Kabukicho, which is very lively at night (and a little shady). It’s not uncommon to get approached by hawkers trying to pull you into strip clubs, and the streets usually get pretty littered from drunk party-goers. Aside from that, there’s lots of places to eat and it’s nowhere near as dangerous as say New York or LA at night. Don’t let the area deter you from the hotel at least. The hotel itself is very nice and starts on the 13th floor of a tall building, so you don’t even hear the street noise.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Gracery in Kabukicho. The staff, who had great English skills, was super attentive, friendly and polite. The room had a great view and all amenities needed. Also, the bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. Kabukicho area was exciting and lively, with a lot of options to dine and shop. Shinjuku station was close so that other interesting points in Tokyo can be reached well like for example Shibuya or Akihabara. Additionally, there is a great and easy to reach bus connection from Haneda to Kabukicho Tower and back. We will sure come back. Thank you so much!
