Smooth check in process. Git really noisy outside most of the night but maybe to be expected on a Friday night.Strangely they highlight 3 car parks when there is another just around the corner at King St. road. Breakfast was good, a reasonable selection which was regularly replenished.
This is a well located, friendly but over priced and in poor condition hotel. The staff are wonderful, but the rooms are in a real need of updating / repair. The room didn’t feel clean at all. The breakfast was pretty poor, but edible. For the money I expected so much more given the part of the world it is in.
The room doors on level 2 are hard to close. That you end up having to slam them shut, which is something that I don’t like to do. Also the noise outside of some kind of delivery at 6am this morning really was hard to accept when you want a bit of a lie in.
Everything was great! The rooms are nice-sized, and clean. The front desk staff Lewis was extremely helpful with handling a few things we needed. The restaurant food was delicious. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.
We had a reservation and showed up and they said we didn’t. Expedia showed the reservation as current and the hotel said we didn’t have one. Then the staff COULD NOT HAVE BEEN LEAS HELPFUL. We sat in the lobby for nearly THREE HOIRS trying to find a hotel near by, until we found the only room left in the area. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE.
Nice staff and service, good breakfast, hotel rooms are very basic and a bit dated for price. Clean but nothing special. Road outside can be a bit noisy and room sound insulation not the best.
