We had an amazing stay here. Love that it’s right on the beach ! We even saw dolphins swimming by one day while sitting on our balcony. Rooms are spacious. Only complaint is that we had a pool view room and these are loud at night with the live entertainment that plays.

I made a reservation through Expedia and within 8 hours, we had an emergency sickness and requested to cancel. The customer service was very rude and would not accommodate or refund us after a $662 reservation. We were going to reschedule but they would not oblige. Very rude and impersonal. I would not recommend staying there. They are rude and will not help or understand your circumstance not matter what!

The studio had everything that my family needed for the week so that we were able to cook or walk to whatever we needed without needing to leave although the surrounding area has a grocery store close by and an aquarium to visit within 10 minutes, but our rooms floor was very dirty

We had a wonderful 4 days/3 nights. We however want to share an extremely rude encounter with a day desk clerk, Monday, 3/24. My sister and her 2 kids were looking for a vacation spot and decided to swing by Shephard's to spend the day, eat great food, etc. When we asked how to make that happen, the clerk went through the do's and don'ts (there were quite a few to remember and relay to my sister) my husband asked her to write down the fees so he didn't give wrong information.....the clerk wrote THIS on a piece of paper - "come see me" and then crumpled it up and gave him nothing. My husband is the nicest guy on the planet, so he just walked away. I tried to find a manager in the office so as not to be cranky in front of other guests...but never found one in the office. Completely unnecessary treatment of my husband and terrible behavior by anyone representing Shephards! My sister called to get the information - got the same person and was also treated unkindly. Other than this EVERYONE else was top-notch. Friendly. Fun.

Quick weekend trip

Quick 2 night trip, was able to check in a little early which was awesome. Price was great, loved the convenience of the beach and the resort feel and location. Rooms were a nice size and clean. The view from the room was exciting during the day, but at night the room over the pool was right in the middle of the dj and band, which went on very loudly until way past midnight. We were told about this when we checked in, but it was still hard to fall asleep. I would stay here again, but maybe ask for another room location to see if that helps.

Overall friendly staff. Not overly family friendly- especially with the live music. TV would not work; again- not a huge deal but with kids I was told they would send someone up to fix the remote and no one showed up. Lots of garbage littered around the pool and cups floating in the hot tub.

The front desk people were amazing during our check-in. It really got us excited for our weekend. I was there for a bachelorette weekend we had a great time. Overall, I would be back again I would say our only complaints regarding the hotel would be the service/servers. They were not very kind, very rude and pushy. We were able to overlook that given. Everything else was a good experience.

We had a wonderful experience and will return. The hotel is on the beach and has a pool, hot tub, restaurant, and the most amazing live music. The two things that bothered us a bit were that the live performance went on until midnight at-least but the use of the hot tub was only until 9pm. Also the water was not hot. It was only luke warm. Also while the music was wonderful but for those who are tired it could be a bother as it was super loud even if the glass doors are shut. We were on the higher floors but could hear it. It would be perfect if the music and the outdoor hot tub were shut by 10:30 or 11pm.
