The individual rooms and the bathroom was fairly small but as I was by myself this was easy enough to navigate. All the staff I dealt with were excellent. The actual pub has plenty of options for drinking and dining, including a good sportsbar set up.

I liked my stay at the Southern Cross hotel the the freindly and helpful staff was a1 service the rooms was clean and comfortable the only thing the hotel should have a drink machine in the hotel because there no fridge in the room i woke up in the middle of the night and i walked down to bp services station to get a cold drink .part from that i happy with every thing thank you

We were disappointed that the location is surrounded by a large container business, with semi's coming and going 24/7. This created noise all night. The room was comfortable enough, very small and the bathroom was 'different' The shower seemed to be recently renovated, but to fit all the essentials in the vanity was located inside the shower cubicle, and to get into the shower the door opened inwards and just missed the vanity by millimetres. I was able to squeeze my way around the VERY tight space to actually have a shower, my husband had no chance to get in and use the shower. Thankfully we were only overnighting to catch a 6.30am flight interstate. No complaints re the staff, very nice and helpful, meal at the Bistro downstairs also quite good. But the bathroom situation is ridiculous. We won't be returning.

Good suburban short stay
Really pleasant. Easy and convenient if you need to stay in the area. Rooms facing Canal St are much noisier than those facing rear carpark.

decent hotel for the price! we wanted to be near marrickville and had a car so easy to get around. PT would be more difficult. They had the sink inside the shower in our bathroom which made it very uncomfortable to try and get in and out of the shower, really not a good laid out room. would much rather have a sink in the bedroom than like that. overall not a bad stay, nothing special but we were only there one night

Suited our needs for proximity to the Airport. The staff were lovely and arranged an early morning taxi for us. Only negative is the hotel is a little worn, but other than that, can't fault it.

Fantastic place to stay, my room was very clean and quiet, everything including carpets bed, furniture, linen was all new. Bathroom was large and looked like it had just been renovated. The air-conditioning was ice cold and silent, and the room came with a kettle, iron, ironing board, cups and glasses, the new fridge contained complementary milk and bottled water, free secure parking, close to everything including buses and train station, the pub and restaurant downstairs were excellent. Access to the rooms upstairs via a near new lift made it very east to check in and out. This would have to be one of the nicest places I've stayed in Sydney, and I will be staying here the next time I travel to Sydney.

I’ve never before stayed in a hotel that had the hand basin iINSIDE the shower cubicle! No bar fridge in the room was also a disappointment. The music downstairs on Friday night was very loud and stopped me from sleeping.
