"The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are up-to-date. The staff is energetic, friendly, and courteous. The breakfast is excellent and the dining room has the best view in Athens. Downsides: most rooms don’t have a nice view. The dinner served in the dining room is expensive. The hotel is in the heart of the Plaka tourist district and there almost countless dining options nearby. Would love to stay here again. "

"The staff were excellent and great ambience and food in the Whispers restaurant. The room was too warm at night as the air conditioning was not in use during winter months but we could leave the balcony door open for cool air. The location is excellent, near Sytagma square and opposite the national gardens. You can also see the 1896 Olympic stadium from the rooftop bar, lit up at night. Ideal for transport to and from the airport. We used the metro on arrival but went back via X95 bus which was cheaper and just as convenient, drops right outside departures at the airport. We would stay at Amalia again if we visit Athens."
