"The Hokitika Fire Station is a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable, spacious, clean, complete with all the amenities we needed and wanted. We'd happily stay there again and regret only staying for one night. It is in a good location with parking just behind the building. The beach is a short walk away as is the main street with various dining, drinking and shopping options. We think it is great that a historical building has been preserved in such a way with a strong tie to it's history and the local community."

"I got there after the office closed, and left before it opened, so did not interact with staff.(I had prepaid, and a key was left out for me. Loved the room, like a log cabin or chalet. It was very comfortable, had a nice deck. Just steps from the beach. Nice stay."
