Wonderful corner room with plenty of space. Room could have been cleaner as there were candy wrappers and hair ties on the floor. The staff were outstanding. So thoughtful, helpful and kind. Highly recommend.

The ultimate 1st Chicago trip experience
Came to Chicago w someone who had never been to a major city before and never ridden public transportation or even ridden a train! Being on Wabash was an amazong way to help them understand the history of Chicago and also how awesome the L is. The facility was stunning and the employees and service well above my expectations. Yes theres a little train noise but it never effected our sleep and actuality added to the overall ambiance of a first Chicago trip. Kudos to the entire staff!

Enjoyed staying at this property. We arrived very early before checkin and they had a room available for us!! The location was perfect, close to the train, park, restaurants and lake. Very walkable, clean and quiet. We would definitely come back again!

The Silversmith is an excellent boutique hotel. I have downrated it because they charge a JUNK FEE called a historic preservation fee, in other words, a new name for "resort fee," "convenience fee"-- another way to raise the room price while making it look more competitive.

Great hotel experience! Near the park, the river, the Art Museum. Nearby self parking with hotel discount was very manageable. Staff was very nice and helpful. The L running on Wabash is a bit noisy, but the double windows made it immaterial. We’d happily stay here again.
