"We wanted to be close to the Christmas Markets in Marienplatz, which was 2 train stops away from us. We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves walking distance to Tollwood, a more hip and non-traditional Christmas Market with lots of food tents, cirque acts, live music, and more. The staff at Schwan Locke was very welcoming, and they even hosted a free opera night in the courtyard, which we enjoyed from our room's balcony. It was chilly in our room, so the hotel gave us a heater for the week, which helped a lot. We liked being right around the corner from a train station, but it was just as easy to order an Uber at the front door. "

"The property itself feels new and modern which we like. When we checked in the Spanish reception staff were very nice and helpful. We were allowed to check in 2 hours early and we were pleasantly surprised when we were given a king size bed after I requested that they give us a double bed. The room was spotless and our cleaning lady was very kind too. The furnishings and the whole room was very modern but homey and we slept really well.my husband and I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it to our family and friends. If we are ever back in Munich we will stay in this hotel again."
