They had no heat! I was NEVER told that they only turn on the heat in the property after a certain date. I complained and they gave me a small heater which didn't work. Then they gave me another one which did work, but not enough to heat up the room. Finally, I was given a second one which helped. Also, when I plugged in the clothes iron, or the coffee pot, it tripped the circuit breaker if the heaters were on, and all the lights went out. Many of the staff were friendly, but communication was very poor. They need new management. Also, they do not offer any type of breakfast, not even a continental one. BUT, the location is great if you like walking to the Kennedy Center.

Our room’s AC was not functioning, and the room was unbearably hot, making it impossible to stay comfortably. When we reached out to the management team, they offered no reasonable solution, compensation, or any willingness to take responsibility and work on resolving the issue. The lack of accountability and customer care left us with a horrible experience. I would not recommend staying here if you expect a comfortable environment and a responsive management team.

I stayed here while visiting my daughter at GWU. The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly. Everything was very walkable and the metro was closeby.

The hotel is very walkable to the monuments, GW university and the waterfront. They also have valet parking available at the hotel. Apparently, the hotel has either air conditioning OR heat - not both, depending on the time of the year. In October, when only the heat was turned on in the hotel (no AC available), the room was 80 degrees with no way to cool it down. We spoke with the front desk and they gave us a small 12"x12" fan to cool the entire room, and suggested we open the window during the 40 degree overnight, and that "was the best they could do". Our group of four was unable to sleep, and miserable, for the two night stay. We avoided the room as much as possible. I suggest staying at a more modern hotel.

Place was nice and safe. Most of the staff was great except for maid or cleaning service.waa there 5 days and one day the door for the room was left open and unlocked I don't know how long and another day the cleaning service was half done. Bed was done and the bathroom too but the rest of the room was unclean and trash and towels were not picked up

Will not stay there again. My room had visible mold down the wall and above the A/C unit. The front desk told me they were at capacity and couldn't move me. Then I showed them the rooms that were available that day, per the Expedia app. I was then moved to a different room that had less mold. Yikes! I shut off the A/C unit and just dealt with it. One week later I'm still sneezing.
