We stayed here over the new years week. It was cold but the property was convenient and we could walk most places we wanted to go to near the hotel. The hotel was clean and is in the midst of renovation but that had very little impact on us. The new years festival was literally outback, they had food trucks and fireworks. We did rent a car so we could go other places in Anchorage. There were two things that bothered me a little: was our room didn’t get freshened up every day. I had to ask for towels almost every day. But the room was clean and new. The decor was great (aviation, some leather). And the parking situation…. If you have a car you have to park on the street and pay at meters or pay out back and pay $15 per night or park across the street in the parking garage. There’s nothing on their website about parking before we went. There’s also no restaurant right now because of renovations. There was a security guard day and night stationed in the lobby. Our room was in the road side and every night there were drunk people walking by yelling (not the hotels fault) so ask for a room on the parking lot side. The people who worked there were very nice and accommodating. Would stay there again.

October in Alaska
I visited this hotel at the end of October for a weekend vacation, and it was wonderful. It was freshly renovated, and everyone was very friendly. It’s located perfectly downtown, and is in walking distance to all downtown Anchorage has to offer. I highly recommend this place; you won’t be disappointed!

The staff was very pleasant and easy to work with when I had a flight delay. They were very accommodating of my early the next day arrival. There is no elevator yet as it is under construction, but for me that was not an issue at all. They were very clear that they would offer me an alternative if it was an issue for me. The room was perfect for what I needed. It was quiet and comfortable. Bed was perfect.

5 Star stay at the Aviator
Amazing stay at the newly renovated Aviator hotel. Rooms are spotless and very well furnished, mini fridge for anything you want to keep cold. Morning coffee and breakfast available. The manager, Ernesto and staff were extremely welcoming & accommodating throughout my stay. Location is ideal. 3 minute walk to Sullivan’s Steakhouse and the mall. 5 minute walk to F Street Station, best food in town. Priced more than fair, I’ll certainly be back for my next business trip.
