"Was super fortunate to find this accommodation so close to everything. The Host is very kind, patient and accommodating. Given the lower level suite is pet friendly, which is an additional bonus, I do understand the lack of a clean floor, however, the state of the kitchen counter (left over food bits) was a bit of a shock, as were the dangling cobwebs inside the cupboards. There is a small toaster oven in the basement suite only. Don’t bring a casserole for dinner. Lesson learned. The bathroom was beautiful… looked very brand new and shiny.Had a 24 hour power outage … we were one of 128 houses affected. Fortunately our host provided a small battery operated light while the gas fireplace kept us warm.Although I sincerely appreciate the kindness of the Host, and the superb location, I would not return to this property. "

"We are a group of business owners and leaders from Vancouver that went to Bowen for our annual offsite for learning, relaxation and recreation. Serenity fit the fill very nicely being so close to Snug Cove but the feeling of being far away from it all at the same time. The house is in excellent condition and had just the right mix of spaces to allow us spaces for meeting, discussion, eating, celebration and fun. The outdoor patios are perfect when the weather is good. The kitchen is amply stocked with cookware, which made preparing meals as a group easy and fun. And the sauna and hot tub provided a soothing escape from late winter weather.Nigel was an excellent counterpart as host, immediately responding to requests and making our stay smooth and enjoyable. I could not have asked for more from him or the property. I highly recommend Serenity for a family or group like ours wanting to get away from the city without having to travel far."

"Adele and Terry were splendid hosts, and the property was a lovely quiet and convenient place to get away from the city. Such a short walk from the ferry, with easy access to nice trails for hiking, a grocery store and several good restaurants.I mentioned that I wanted to do some writing, so Adele and Terry actually moved out one of the existing pieces of furniture and found a desk, desk chair and lamp for me to use. This was unexpected but much appreciated!The breakfasts served were all quite delicious, and again Adele and Terry accommodated me by adapting the menu, since I'm vegetarian. Overall, one of my best-ever stays booked through VRBO."

"We had such a wonderful stay at Maria's suite! We were only there for one night but I'd have loved to stay longer. Maria's communication was excellent and timely, the suite was spotless and so well appointed with helpful notes to aid the experience. The welcome basket was a fantastic bonus, as was the selection of teas and coffee, and cream (and also vegan options) in the fridge. Thanks Maria for a great stay!"
