The Hotel is very conveniently located to all the shopping, restaurants, groceries and transportation. The staff were very friendly and helpful However, the property is somewhat dated, the room lighting was poor and it was very dark in the room. Also, the bathroom is somewhat small and the vanity in the bathroom definitely needs replacing. See picture below.

The Ptarmigan Inn is in a great location in Banff and it is great having easy onsite parking. The bed was firm and comfortable but the bathroom was quite small and we did hear people talking loudly in the hallways at 3:00am. One more benefit was excellent food at their restaurant.

To share an opinion about this property is irrelevant, they don't care about the type of client I represent. The revenue stream of this hotel comes from bus organized tour. The price of this hotel versus what you get can be define as not a good value in comparison with other location near by that we checked out. The hotel is dated and you feel that the management of the hotel is stopping short in their effort to at least maintain it or at least spruce it up a bit. The underground parking is the main good aspect of that hotel.

I didn’t like that in the elevator, you could access off floors, not just your own floor! Everything else about the stay Was as I had hoped and better ! The staff were really attentive and friendly. I only used Hon the restaurant once and it was Very good. It was great to have complementary pass for the buses. The location is great as I was doing a solo trip and I liked having easy access to the strip of Banff Avenue.

This was a great place to stay and the room was very comfortable. Our only issue was that our room looked out onto an interior room that used be a courtyard and chairs were set up as if a meeting or presentation was planned. As such we had no view to the outside which is odd. I would stay there again but would make sure we at least had a window to the outdoors.

Property in a great location. Looks lovely. Nice big room with balcony. Cons: parking is sketchy as the ceiling is low. Beds/room also weren’t made up between nights. Restaurant not good. Options were only okay and food not the best.
