I loved that the property was located by the train station with easy access to move around. I felt like I was apart of community and not staying in a hotel. The place felt like home. I would definitely stay there again.

Convenient location and nice property Easy check in and out Not told there were renovations in the room across from me, an exhaust fan blew the paint smell into my room during the day and was quite loud No soap/bodywash or shampoo/conditioner provided in either of the 2 bathrooms Can hear the trains particularly at night, as it is across from train station

Punt Hill South Yarra Grand was a great place to stay as everything is close by especially Chapel Street. Had a ball.

Didn’t hit the mark
Little bit disappointed to be honest. Stayed a few times before and very happy with location and convenience so continued to come back but this stay didn’t hit the mark. Room freshly painted as we were told but as carpet is to be replaced it looked as though it was used as the drop sheet. Room poorly cleaned with 3-4 smoke butts on the balcony area and the inside floor and couch with chip and biscuit crumbs. Credit card was taken on arrival but received a call on the second day to say that our room key had been cancelled and we had no access and we needed to pay immediately. No issues other than they just hadn’t processed payment.

I have stayed at Punthill South Yarra several times and enjoy the value for money, location, the friendly reception people. On this occasion there were a few things missing when house keeping came though. There was no tee towel to dry the plates and cutlery and no soaps in the bathroom. The rest of the room was clean.
