Old school cottage feel
We really enjoy the old-school cottage charm. We especially enjoyed the patio and the wooded area is just beautiful. Proximity the beach can’t be beat.

Great location, but dank basement smell
Pros: proximity to the beach, outdoor patio, privacy snd quiet neighborhood. Cons: outdate decor, but we knew this going into it, and the inescapable smell of a dank basement. I think a couple dehumidifiers would help and new air conditioners as they too smelled of mold.

Good location. Typical Cape Cottage
Unit is the beasement of a pretty typical Cape Cod Cottage. Was spacious for a 2 bedroom. House was clean but did smell musty...just like most properties of that age on the Cape. Location was a pretty short walk to one of the better beaches on the Cape. Only downside was our road was very hard to see pulling onto Beach Road and we were occasionally caught in beach traffic just getting back to our rental. Short drives to Orleans, Chatham, Eastham made ot a pretty convenient location for our family.

All good but the bed
This is a well equipped and furnished apartment on the ground level of a two-story house. Everything for a nice beach-stay was provided. The only complaint we had was that the bed was too firm for us. Also, not so bad, was the thudding around upstairs when those tenants arose a 6 am.

Musty
The property is built into the side of a hill rendering the unit we occupied a semi basement. The unit had a very musty odor. My spouse noted the carpeting in the bedroom to be wet. This was closest to the wall against the hill.

Great Vacation
This house had everything we needed for a great vacation. The location was great. It was a short walk to Nausset Beach down the hill (about 6 minutes). Orleans is centrally locatedclose to many attractions and points of interest. The listing indicates that there is a view of the ocean from the yard. That was not the case. Also the listing indicates that the fridge has an ice maker and it doesn’t. These are very minor issues and do not detract from the positive features. The upstairs was also occupied while we were there and we never heard any noise from the other guests. All in all a great place to stay.

Conveniently close to the beach
We had a nice stay as a family of 4 with two young children. The property was clean and had everything we needed. However, communication was difficult. I tried calling the 1-800 number to get more info on check out procedures, and was unable to get through to anyone. We also did not have phone reception, so my husband and I could not send or receive texts or phone calls unless we drove away from the property.

Great location
Fantastic location super close to Nauset beach, our kids loved it. This house is under 10 minutes away from the bay side beaches on the other side of the cape as well as tons of shopping and restaurants. The only minor inconvenience we found was we had no Verizon cell service at the house so we couldn’t make calls but the WiFi was great!

Great location - just a bit of a musty or mildew smell
The location can't be beat and the pictures are definitely accurate. The only real draw back was the musty/mildew type smell that was pretty prolific and slightly off-putting.

Short vacation on Cape Cod
We arrived 2 hours before check in. Cleaning crew was just leaving. We opened the key box which is attached to the outside fence, and the previous renter had kept the key. The cleaning crew called their folks, and I called Vacasa. The rep for Vacasa immediately reminded me that I was 2 hours early. Granted, but if we had arrived at check-in, at 4 O'clock, there still wouldn't have been a key. Luckily, we were early and the cleaning crew were able to get their supervisor to have another key made. Very nice duplex. Older decor, but clean and well stocked. No dishwasher. Beds are great. very clean, 4 beach chairs and beach umbrella provided. Many window a/c units, lots of cookware. It is a very short walk to the beach. One drawback is that it is the bottom unit of a duplex. If someone is upstairs, you'll know it. Wifi and cable are great. Would definetely stay here again!

Great Beach Home in a Fantastic Location
We rented both the top and bottom unit of this vacation rental and we loved our stay here! This home is very clean and charming, and it is so well stocked. It has everything you would need in the kitchen, and the linen closet has many bath and beach towels. There are great board games for families, as well as beach chairs, lantern, bug spray, just about everything you could think of. The owner/manager is very thoughtful, leaving mini-sized dishwashing soap, sponges and laundry pods. The location is the best! We walked to Nauset Beach several times per day, and it took less than 5 minutes from the front door to the sand. We loved our time here and plan to return next year!

Quiet very clean cottage 5 min away from Nauset Beach.
Myself and family really enjoyed ourselves this place is very quiet and relaxing. Cottage is well maintained only slight improvement is needed in the twin beds for better comfort; but overall a great place to stay for a family with 2 little ones. Nauset Beach is an awesome beach; so we will definitely be returning.

Nice location Very close to beach
The house is 5-minutes walking to the Nauset beach, very convenient! Everything is clean. Because it is the lower level and maybe because it is close to the beach, the inside is quite humid at night.

We'll be back!
If at all possible! We loved the beach and the house was great, just a short walk to the beach too. The place was homey and comfortable, quiet day and night, clean and it has all the amenities. We love to cook our own meals, and found everything we needed to do that. The ACs all worked so we were cool inside when it got hot outside. If you're a southpaw, don't use your left hand to turn the doorknob, there is a knuckle biter that got me three times on the door, looks like a old curtain rod attachment. I didn't have a pliers or I would have taken it offa there. But we loved the place, and will come back if circumstances allow!

Nauset beach hourse
Great location, one block to the beach. House a little musty, CO detector battery worn out and refrigerator alarm also sounding off. Sunny, comfortable, washer/dryer, cable and internet helpful and Orleans was a great town.

Great location
The apartment was in a perfect location to walk to Nauset Beach and to a lot of great spots on the Cape. Clean kitchen and a new bathroom and plenty of space. However, it is a basement apartment and the musty smell was overwhelming. They should remove the wall to wall carpeting and install de-humidifiers.

Good, but ....
The location of the property was great. Really near to the beach. By feet less then 5 Minutes. Their are 5 big rooms: 2 bedroms, a kitchen, a living room and a bath room. The bath room is completly new and therefore all was fine. The other rooms are well equipped. But some of the furniture are looking pretty used. But both bedrooms are smelling wet and musty. The reason for this may be in the unclean technical rooms, you can reach from the bedrooms or in the carpet in the rooms. If you open the drawers of the cupboards, they are smelling wet und musty too. Perhaps somebody had done wet clothes into the drawers. Because no sun can shine into both bedrooms, in our opinion, it takes a lot of time to dry this rooms. The AC in the right bedroom was loud and condensed water is dropping into the room when in use. Alternatively opening the window was not possible because on the right side outside of the house waste was collected there nearby the window. The waste was smelling. The beds are ok. In front of the house the terrace was ok and the bbq-Grill was clean and good maintained. At the right and the leftside of the hose it could be more clean. We would recommend the propety with restrictions to our friends and relatives. The beach is great. The key servide was perfect. Good information. On time.

Everything You Could Need in a Cape House Rental
The listing description was very accurate regarding the location, layout and amenities. The email we received prior to check-in with all the needed information was great. It listed everything the house was stocked with so we didn't have to pack it all, as well as the WiFi password and directions. The house was very big, extremely clean and had many amenities. It could easily fit four, although it was just me and my boyfriend. The neighborhood was also very quiet and welcoming. The bathroom was recently renovated. It was walking distance to the Nauset Beach, which was great because it is $20 to park in the lot each day. The beach was not very crowded during the week and clean. They also provided beach chairs at the house. The house is located a mile or so from local shops and restaurants. We got ice cream at Sundae School and had dinner and drinks at the Barley Neck Inn a few times. We also traveled to Dennis and Brewster to try out other local restaurants, which was a quick drive. I would highly recommend this property. We are planning on staying here again next year! For the price we paid, it is an amazing deal.
