Situated just outside the entrance to the old town, the hotel is very conveniently located. The rooms are clean, and overall the location is very quiet. The breakfast buffet was yruly astounding and filled with many delicious options from cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, bacon, etc. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We visited here on a 2 week winter trip to Germany. Front desk staff was friendly and enthusiastic. They greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was especially spectacular! This hotel was the unanimous favorite of our family. On top of that, Rothenburg ob der Tauber was super cool. We loved it here and wanted to come back and stay longer.

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Rappen recently and it was walkable from the train station, which was very helpful.The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed it. The hotel itself was adequate, but not more. It lacked warmth and charm and felt like a high end hostel. The dining room for breakfast looked nothing like the restaurant pictured in the ad. It was impossible to get a cup of tea or coffee in the evening without walking to a gas station; there was no in-room set up and the hotel didn’t offer any, even for purchase.

Highly recommend!

Very convenient location with a welcoming and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and everything, including our room was clean. Couldn’t be more comfortable away from home.

Reasonable hotel for the price. The U-Bahn station is 1 minute walk which is wonderful! There is no reception as such. That was a bit confusing. But it worked out.

I love this hotel. Gives the old town German feel but is nice, clean and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was great and the restaurant is delicious. I hope to return one day!

Great location. Easy walk to the walled-in portion and grocery stores. The rooms were in good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, with lots of options. Will come back if we are ever back here

Good hotel for the cost, especially if you're coming with your own car (parking was included and right behind the hotel). Dated rooms, but comfortable. Our room was in a corner of two major streets and the noise was unbearable, got not sleep, and had to use ear plugs the following nights. If you're noise sensitive, I recom to get ask for a room away from the street. The staff were wonderful overall. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and delicious, great deal for being included with the cost of the room. Our room did not have a coffee maker, but that was fine.

One minute walk to wall gate. Can not beat that! No need to use our car for two days. Clean pool. Wish the gym had some dumbbells though.

This hotel is a solid 3 star. Nothing wrong with the property, but nothing too special. Check in was easy & the staff is friendly. Room could have been a bit cleaner, but I'm really picky. Breakfast buffet is generous & tasty. Location was great for us because we took the train daily, & it's a short walk. It's also an easy walk into Rothenburg.
