"We arrived in San Diego via cruise ship and choose the Wyndam because of it's proximity to the cruise port. A short (under 5 mins) walk got us to our destination. There is a lot to do in the area and also plenty of dining options. The hotel is very nice, the staff members that we spoke with were very nice and easy to deal with. We would be happy to stay here again if the opportunity were to arise."

"Our stay at the Alma was absolutely incredible. After a horrific experience at an Airbnb, we made the reso at Alma, and Nina at the front desk could have not been more wonderful in accommodating us. Nina is literally a superstar who is kind, caring and offers top tier customer service. Our stay at Alma turned what could have been a ruined trip into an amazing weekend in San Diego! "The hotel was wonderful about accommodating our early check-in, which we really appreciated! The staff was incredibly nice and always ready to help. The vintage elevator has lots of character—just takes a moment to get the hang of it. The rooms are on the smaller side but were spotless and beautifully decorated, making them feel very cozy. The location couldn’t be better; it felt like everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. While the area around the hotel can feel a little sketchy at times, that’s pretty typical for a downtown setting. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely come back!"
