When we arrived, the door to our room had some gouges in it. Upon entering, all the lamps and the clock were unplugged, so we had to plug them in to get light. Then there was a roach in the cubicle under the TV; food was left in the refrigerator. When we complained at the front desk, they only offered another room. Due to allergies in our party, we left the property and I have since contacted Expedia about a refund.

Lowest one night rate vs one night experience
Indoor pool was freezing cold. The hot tub was like warm, little jet pressure and small bits of dark debris floating thru it. Bug hanging onto wall... unsure what kind it was. Internet password received but could not connect to it. Requested room away from ice and vending machines. Assigned room across from ice machine. Dated decor. Low water pressure in shower with loud screaming noise present. Bathroom light connected with loud running exhaust fan.

Hotel was in poor condition. Pool hot tub water level was low, pool ladder had no steps, our bathtub’s water plug didn’t work, and overall the hotel looked like it hadn’t been updated in about 25 years. It was a pretty gross experience overall. But only $25 for a dog!

“I had an excellent stay at Howard Johnson. The pool area was fantastic—clean, well-maintained, and the perfect place to relax. The hot tub was a real highlight, with just the right temperature for unwinding after a long day. Both the pool and hot tub were never too crowded, making it easy to enjoy them peacefully. The hotel itself was comfortable and the staff were attentive. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing stay with great amenities!”
