The property’s layout was a bit confusing at first because it’s so sprawled out over multiple levels, but you get the hang of it pretty quick. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel in terms of water pressure and temperature. There was some dust on top of the towel racks and a random patch of dark paint around the ceiling light, but otherwise everything looked great. I’ll likely stay here again the next time I visit Bar Harbor.

We asked for another room because our room was unacceptable. We were not offered another room and checked in early. We were told the room we reserved was not at the level of any other available room. The attendants were very rude and kept making the same statement. However, our money was returned promptly.

The property itself needs to be updated. The rooms are very old… carpet, shower, beds etc. The one benefit is that it is within walking distance to town, only if you can walk a mile comfortably. The staff is nice, but for the price I would not consider staying here again.

This property is only 18 minutes of walking distance from the Downtown. Considering the impossible situation to find a parking spot downtown (and I tried), this place was in a perfect location. And I didn’t even know that at the time of booking. What a nice, pleasant surprise. The Wonder View Restaurant serves great, yet expensive breakfast. As expected these days. I didn’t try their dinner. If I would ever come back to Bar Harbor (and I am sure that I will), this property would be my #1 choice to stay in.

Nice clean rooms. Pretty views of Bar Harbor. Close to Acadia National Park. There is a shuttle that takes you downtown and to the park. Wonderview is part of the Bluenose Inn which is a bit awkward as you have to check in and out there. Wonderful piano bar nightly. Bill Trowell the pianist is very talented.

A Perfect Stay in Bar Harbor! My recent stay at the Wonderview Inn in Bar Harbor was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service. The inn’s charming, cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home, and its location is unbeatable—just a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor and a quick drive to Acadia National Park. The rooms were immaculately clean, well-appointed, and filled with thoughtful details. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved waking up to the peaceful surroundings. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast at the Looking Glass restaurant, featuring fresh local ingredients. It was the perfect start to a day of exploring the stunning scenery of Mount Desert Island. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. They were knowledgeable about the area and offered great suggestions for dining, hikes, and activities. If you’re looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable stay in Bar Harbor, I highly recommend Wonderview Inn. It truly exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return!
