Pet Policies

This home only allows 2 dogs. There are nightly pet fees and a pet deposit required. When booking with a pet on VRBO, VRBO defaults the number of pets to 1 dog. Our pet fee is $50 per pet per night with a $75 pet cleaning fee per pet.

In order to protect our homeowners' second homes, we do require that pets must be under 35 lbs., non-shedding, and crate trained. The pet(s) must either be crated when unattended and not left alone in the cabin when you leave. As pet owners ourselves, we know that some pets have separation anxiety which will cause damage to the wood floors, walls, door frames, or furniture when left alone, even if shut in a bedroom or bathroom. Blue Ridge is an extremely pet friendly town and you can take your dog with you to most restaurants where there is outdoor seating, and walking along Main Street, shop owners keep bowls of water outside for thirsty pets.

There is a $250 refundable pet deposit for all reservations. It is refunded upon the departure of the stay unless there are pet damages, excessive pet hair, or if the pet has been found unattended in the cabin.

Please note that there is a 3% cancellation fee in the event of a cancellation.

Rental Rates

Rates for cabin rentals are based on per night for up to four guests. Add $25 per person, per night above four guests. A cleaning fee will be added, based on the number of guests. All cabin rentals prices and minimum stays are subject to change at anytime even if not posted on site.

Mountain Side Get-Away
The house was amazing and the perfect size for our 3 families (family of 3, 4 and 2) plus our 2 dogs. Lots of space and things for the 3 boys to do. It was close to shopping and hiking is not too far away. We love to cook, so a nice big kitchen was perfect for us, with a beautiful family table to all sit down and eat at. The view from the living room is out-of-this world. Any issues we ran into, property management was very responsive!

Mountain Haven from the Storm
We were two families evacuating from Florida during Hurricane Milton. The owners were incredibly responsive and gracious to take us in at the last minute and accommodate our needs. The property itself was in a lovely area close to Mercier Orchards, McCaysville, and down the hill from the Toccoa River. The access to the river was absolutely incredible and made our stay that much more enjoyable. The house is well lived-in but provided the space and amenities we needed for our week-long stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Although this is potentially a beautiful cabin in a very nice location over looking the river, this property is severely miss managed and does not deliver on a Luxury experience. The cabin was in need of continued maintenance through out our 4 day stay. The house was dirty which management blamed on it being a cabin. Door knobs, didn't work, and needed to be replaced. Water faucets in a bathroom needed to be replaced, There was a lack of basic supplies like paper towels and dish soap, Most significantly, 18+hours where we had no water due to a well pump issue. After the water was back on we had to bath the children in yellow water. (not inspirational to use the "luxury" jet baths). The roof leaked during a rain storm. We had to use water from the hot tub to flush our toilets. The management did send workers to address the issues yet all the continue instances significantly impacted the quality of our experience. When confronted, the owner was unapologetic, defensive, and angry. This experience was not a luxury cabin but a bit more like camping. Don't waist your money. Its not worth the aggravation.

50th BIRTHDAY IN BLUE RIDGE
My husband and I celebrated his 50th birthday along with 4 other couples. The property was very nice- five bedrooms with their own bathroom. All the beds were either king or queen size and were very comfortable. The kitchen was nice, but lacked dish towels and paper products that we were not aware was not there. Bigger pots and pans are also needed. The water pressure is lacking and would actually quit during the shower. There is a leak in the master bathroom ceiling over the tub. The outside amenities are very misleading. Access to the river has not been maintained and the grass has not been cut at the river. If you wanted to go to the river, a hike is a major understatement. However, the views are amazing since you are so high up near the treeline. The outdoor table is very inviting and allows for extra seating.

The property was nice, and so was the cabin. I just did like that once we arrived we had to dust all the furniture down. It was like it had not been occupied in a while. The TVs did not work in 4 bedrooms.

Management not good
Heat did not work very well, we froze. No firewood, we ordered it through them and they were "out" and didn't tell us until we got to the cabin after I called to ask where it was and wouldn't provide a way to get any except drive 20 min to get it ourselves. Locked the door (changed code) immediately at 10am check out so make sure you don't forget anything before closing the door. The place was nice and clean but that was about the only good thing. Hot tub smells like mildew very badly and the cover really needs replacing.

Outlaw Ridge was awesome
The cabin was luxurious, spacious, and just outright awesome. This was our first trip to the mountains so the road was a little scary but once we got there it was great. The pics don't do the cabin justice!

Disappointed in management company
Our family of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids) stayed at Outlaw Ridge for 5 days after Christmas. Three of the five days we had maintenance there. After driving 8 hours to check in on our first night we discovered no hot water in one of the bedrooms- turns out a previous renter complained the hot water did not shut off completely in this room so maintenance simply turned it off under the sink instead of fixing the problem. We called that evening. No response until the next morning, even on the “emergency number.” Next day maintenance “fixed” the hot water issue, but then the faucet continued to run even when turned off. Called again. We also had the water stop completely several times during our stay, which is not ideal in the middle of a shower. The water pressure was sketchy at best the entire time. Called again. Management company’s response was that they had “no idea why this happened” and offered absolutely no apologies. On top of water issues, the house was not clean. We found dead bugs on the floors, food on pots, old mildewed laundry in the washer and mice poison/traps where kids and dogs could easily access them. We tried to work with this management company, but all we received in response were excuses and had the blame placed back on us as renters. They even used the “Acts of God” clause in the rental agreement as an excuse for the water issues. We have stayed in dozens of vrbo rentals over the years and this is the worst management company we have ever encountered. Please save your money and stay elsewhere. I wish I had the benefit of reading the previous negative reviews. Unfortunately, they were posted after I already booked. I even called the management company to discuss the negative reviews prior to our stay and they assured me all issues had been resolved.

A bit disappointing for the price
Overall cost for a 5 night stay over Thanksgiving was understandably expensive... For that price I expect close to perfection. We had to call maintenance because the upstairs faucet would not turn off. About 8 light bulbs were out which they couldnt replace. The remotes didnt have batteries, so we went and bought our own but still couldn't get a few t.v.s to work.. The language for firewood is falsley advertised both on the website and in person. We ordered a half cord which was half of a half cord.. Upon clarification the lady on the phone agreed it was misleading as it clearly states half cord everywhere, but what you actually get is a half "FACE"cord. There is a sauna in the pictures, however, when you find it there are wires hanging out of it as it does not work, also misleading. There is no oven light, the gas stove has to be manually lit. The air conditioning unit has a major problem where it wakes you up in the middle of the night every hour on the hour trying to click on about 10 times in a row. I will stop there as you may get the picture. BEWARE!

Beautiful Blue Ridge home
The home was beautiful with a beautiful mountain setting above the river. It was a little outdated and not as spacious as pics show (especially main living area). Outside deck was spacious. Overall, It suited us 10 girls well for the week! Be aware that the 5 miles from town is 20-25 min drive and no uber/lyft.

Great place
The only issue we had - which they stated in the app beforehand - was the ladybug infestation. The tubs were full of ladybugs, not just a few. The place was somewhat dusty and closed up. A pre-reservation wipedown or walkthrough before guests arrive should be required, especially for a cabin. So great to have a fireplace, and we used it, but it wasn’t stated in the app instructions and we weren’t told beforehand that we needed kindling or a fire starter log, so we had to make a trip out to grab that. Also, we called the day before checkout to see if we could have a late checkout (at noon instead of 10:00 a.m.), and we were told that it was fine because there was no one renting the place after us, but yet we still were charged a late checkout fee. Otherwise a great place!

Feeling the Love!!!
First, let me say that the house is beautiful and very spacious. Our only concern was in regards to arriving to find the house set to 55 degrees which was less than desirable. However, as soon as we made the owners aware of the temperature within the house they immediately sent someone over to ensure the units were working properly and the owner also personally delivered firewood to aid in the heating process. The customer service did not end there. I asked the owner if there was a local pizza company that would deliver pizza to the house and he advised that there was not but, offered to deliver it himself. Talk about service! He also went the extra mile to ship some items our crew left behind upon checking out. Would use them again!

Blue Ridge Cabin with a Great View
This is a beautiful cabin that our group really enjoyed. The view is amazing! We were next to other cabins, but we really felt isolated. The cabin was very clean and looked just like the pictures. There are a few tweaks that would make this a 5 Star review. For this price, we were expecting perfection! The oven had a hard time, the gas stove was unable to go on low, there was not much glassware for a cabin that fits 10 people, and we had to buy a cutting board. There was no gas key to start the fireplace. We also purchased a hair dryer that actually worked. The WiFi was spotty and there were no ESPN channels available, which was hard for all of us college football fans. As mentioned in the other reviews, charging extra fees for more than 4 people, when the cabin sleeps 10, is excessive. And the rules mentioned that we could not have more trash than what fit into the bins, but there was trash in the bins before we arrived! We also expected the fire pit and river to be closer to the house, based on the pictures. These were all minor issues. I would recommend this cabin to others and we would go back! It is a beautiful cabin with a gorgeous view. It's a great place to get-away from the city.

Weekend getaway ...
The home is beautiful - very clean and comfortable. Beds are all super comfortable. Easy to get to - not too far from the main road (15 min). Lots of cookware and dishes - but nothing nonstick. Fantastic deck. Nice theater room and separate tv room in top floor loft - but we missed having a tv on main floor (other than master bedroom). Fabulous views, but we like tv in background too. Only negative was there were way too many hidden costs - ended up almost doubling our nightly rate once all the charges were in (total was over $800/nt for basically 5 people & a small poodle). $200 for small pet + $75 cleaning for it on top of already large cleaning fee + threat of additional $75 fee for any trash left, online fee, mgmt fee, $50/nt per person charge for people over 4 (which is tacky for a 5 bedroom home with already high rent). For this reason, we will resume using another leasing company. We just don't like feeling nickel & dimed. But the house was nice.

Great Family Reunion in the Blue Ridge Area
Just returned from our family trip and I can't stop thinking of what a great time we all had. The cabin is as beautiful as pictured. It is tastefully furnished, and nicely appointed with a well stocked kitchen. Beds are comfy and because of the layout, when we wanted quiet time there was space and privacy. We especially enjoyed each having our own bathrooms! Spent many moments on the decks at the outdoor dining table and the outdoor seating group -perfect for dinners and family game night. The kids loved the ping pong table and foosball, while the double set of washers and driers was a hit with the mom in our group. The location was perfect, situated close to Blue Ridge and McCaysville. We loved the views, especially the mist on the river in the mornings and the sunset over the treeline at dusk. It was very relaxing to just sit and hear birds calling or the sound of the river. Appreciated the stairs down to the river, although getting back up included some rest stops. But the view from the cabin makes it all worth it. If I could improve on anything, maybe just a few minor thing. I would add more dinnerware and glassware, as we prepared most of our meals in the cabin. Also, a binder in the cabin with local information with maps and things to do, and explaining the operation of thermostat, tv/satellite, ceiling fans, etc. would be helpful. All in all, I would absolutely book this cabin again. It's good to know that that there are sister cabins nearby if Outlaw Ridge is booked. We were sad to leave, but gained so many great memories. We're looking forward to planning a return to Blue Ridge in the future.
