Lovely staff, clean, lots of safety measures taken. Stayed during a false fire alarm. I do think that maybe some additional training and support should be offered to the staff when dealing with these sorts of situations. Hopefully this hotel will no longer allow smoke machines in their event rooms.

Best Western Premier Calgary would have rated much higher overall if it hadn’t been for a total lack of safety procedures when the fire alarm went off around 10pm. No staff member came outside Tower 2 to tell us if it was safe to enter the building. After the alarm stopped I went around to the front desk and asked why no staff had been giving instructions and she said that they had ascertained early on that there was no fire and they only had three staff so they just stayed at the reception. Our arrival reception staff was wonderful and helpful and the restaurant was good it was the lack of safety that worries me if there had been a fire, no leadership whatsoever by the hotel.
