Our room was clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. The facilities however are run down especially in the common areas. they either need a really good deep clean of the carpets etc., at a minimum, or a renovation to update the space. The elevator was not working which isn't the end of the world but then the stairs had to be used and there were piles/bins of laundry from the cleaning staff that are visible at all hours on some of the landings. The parking is quite limited and very cramped. It takes a lot of maneuvering to get in and out of many of the spots. The areas felt a little unsafe as it is really close to a public transit station and some people were loitering and roaming about at night. The complimentary breakfast was ok. Somewhat lacking and plain but then again it is complimentary. Again nothing wrong with the staff and the job they do but the facilities are in dire need of a deeper clean and/or a renovation.

This place is close to the LRT station making it easy to get on the train and to locations along the track. It is a dated building, but when you just need a place to crash after a game/concert/event, it is good.

The service and quality at this establishment align with its name, 'lodge.' I wouldn't classify it as a standard hotel. It sufficed for a one-night stay, but the carpets seemed ancient. The toiletries were provided in tiny, insufficient bottles. Breakfast was offered but with minimal options. Have you ever been served cold-boiled eggs for breakfast? This Econo lodge does exactly that. Budget-conscious travellers might consider this lodge, but be prepared for overall disappointment. 1-star rating is also too much for this accommodation.
