"This was my first time staying in San Francisco. For a large city, I felt so safe in the area of this hotel. The hotel was quiet, room was huge. I am recommending this hotel to all of my friends and this will be the only San Francisco hotel I will use when traveling there. Excellent stay!! "

"While the hotel is not in the safest part of SF, I never felt unsafe and it is certainly a great central location with access to all the tourist spots you want to visit. As with all big cities, keep your head up and whits about you while walking around. The staff at Phoenix were amazing! Super accommodating and so welcoming. Shout out especially to James. My only “complaint” is wishing there was a mini fridge in the room. We had some amazing meals with leftovers I would have liked to enjoy. My guess is it has to do with electrical capacity given the age of the property as a renovated retro hotel. Overall it was great, and I would definitely stay there again. "
