Nice place to stay in Calumet
Everything was acceptable. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room and hotel was clean, the breakfast was adequate. My only hesitation would be: our room was on the second floor and there was not elevator to get there. In my opinion that should be stated when the reservation is made because not everyone is able to carry their luggage up a flight of stairs. We explored Calumet and found it a cute town. We enjoyed the gift shops and ice cream store,

The desk clerk was very nice. Our first room had wet carpeting and smelled awful. Normally we would just live with it, but this time it was awful enough I called the desk clerk. She apologized as she felt housekeeping must have cleaned the carpet and not told her. She looked up and found us an upgrade to king bed empty down the hall. The room smelled better, everything looked clean, but the bed springs or platform gave in and made loud noises all night as we tried to sleep on it. Breakfast bar was okay.

No bad for middle road hotel, does suck in smoker smell from outside. Pool nice but was dark in there. Overall did the trick for what we needed to get to Isle Royale

It was convenient for my purposes. The breakfast each morning was also helpful and had good basic choices, cereal, yogurt, eggs, sausage, diy waffles. Clean rooms and facilities. Helpful friendly staff. This was a good home base for day trips around the Keewanaw.

Best hotel in the area
This is by far the nicest hotel in the area. It has a very cute lobby and pool. The staff are very friendly. The room was okay. The bed was not comfortable at all and definitely needs new mattresses. It was clean though. Also make sure you get there and eat before 9 as everything in town closes.
